This pair of carved ivory emperor and empress are late 19th or early 20th century export pieces. The emperor is 12 ¼” high, 2 ¼” wide and 1 ¾” thick. The empress is 12 1/8” high, 2 ½” wide and 2” thick. The emperor is holding a sword and the empress is holding a Ruyi. The robes are very well carved with dragon and phoenix designs. There is honorable “Great Ming” mark on the bottom of the empress. They are in excellent condition.

This very well carved ivory beauty is an early 20th century product. It depicts a young lady holding a round fan in her left hand and carrying a flower basket on her right shoulder. It is 12 ¾” high (with wood base, it is 16” high), 2 ½” wide from her shoulders and 2” thick. Aside from one small age crack line on the base of the ivory, it is in excellent condition.

This is a rare Meiji period Japanese tree bark cloisonné jar. It is cloisonné design over ceramic body which was made to look like tree bark. It is 7” tall and 5 ½” at its widest part. It has a flower, bird and butterfly design over its brown body. It is in great condition, a little color rubbed off of the rim and base.

This Qing Dynasty Kang Xi Period (1662~1735) blue and white plate is 10” in diameter and 2” high. The interior of this plate depicts a living room scene; a couple are sitting on chairs chatting and a young maid is standing near by. Eight symbols which represent the Eight Immortals and multiple plants are around the center living room scene. The rim is decorated with peach and textile patterns...

A charming blue and white peach shaped Chinese water dropper in excellent condition without hairlines or restoration. It features the charming feature of the scholar in garden scene. Circa 1900-10, it measures 3 inches high.

Description:

An ancient stone beast was in nice mood.
In twisted body posture, the beast or dragon with bulging eyes, wide mouth and extruding fangs was supposed a peaceful animal by the pattern on his back, a swirling TaiChi cloud.
The sculpture was well preserved except the abrasions down under due to age.

Dr Fu Qing Zhu "published" his book on Women's Health Issues in 1816. Originally hand copied until the 1860's, publications after that were made using hand carved woodblocks. Simple elegance envelops this wonderful late Meiji Period C.1910 bronze 'koro' crane incense burner. The piece has two parts; the top consisting of the crane's feathers and head, and the bottom which contains the ash. On the underside of the bottom in relief are the crane's legs tucked under. Blanc De Chine Dog of Fo seated on a rectangular base. Kangxi L17thC. Height 12.9cm. Condition; excellent, two tail fronds each with a minor 0.2cm chip. No other chips, cracks or restoration.

This is a fine early Japanese Satsuma vase. It was made before 1900 and is one of the better examples I have seen from this artist.. The enamel work and relief dragon are done very well. The vase is interesting and has a lot of character. It is very heavy and in very good condition. The only real flaw is a broken horn on the dragon which is a common occurrence with these pieces. This can be fixed fairly easily and I could arrange for this small repair for the buyer. Stands 9 1/2 inches tall.
