A Chinese, yellow glazed, caparisoned horse; C6-7th AD, Sui to early Tang dynasty. A lively figure of a prancing horse. Dimensions; 18cm tall, 20cm long. Condition; please ask for additional photos to satisfy yourself as to condition. The figure has had broken and restored legs, with some associated over-painting. It is in a restored, but very presentable condition, with age realted wear.

Antique Japanese Nihon Matsu isho tansu (clothing chest) in two sections from the Nihonmatsu area of Fukushima Prefecture. Made all of kiri (paulownia) wood. Iron hardware has a deep red lacquer finish and includes hirute shaped drawer pulls and large square lock plates with shōchikubai symbols (three friends of winter: plum, pine and bamboo) and a butterfly key hole cover. Set of 3 “Socialist Kitsch”, porcelain brush pots with green Jingdezhen “China” marks inside the “bi” shaped footrims, circa 1960s-1970s. These all have the same mark and same dimensions H: 12cm/4.8in and D: 8.4cm/3.2in. Relatively good Jingdezhen quality porcelain, and simple polychrome decorations with revolutionary slogans. These were meant for mass consumption but amazingly little of it remains today...

Statue of Guanyu, the general of Liu Bei, which was transformed into the famous Guangong, the Taoist God of War. Guanyu is shown here in full military garb, with helmet and armor, sitting on an elevated throne. Votive box at the back, still closed. Wood, with remnants of superimposed painting, lacquering and gilding. China, 19th century. Height: 24.7 cm. Painting and lacquering partly flaked, otherwise very good condition.

Rare Song dynasty longquan celadon chrysanthemum large plate, with carved chrysanthemum petals motif at the interior, good condition with small rim chips restored, please see picture for detail, size: 21 cm diameter.

A Korean, celadon bowl with incised decoration of two parrots to the interior of the bowl; Goryeo dynasty. The beautiful bluish green colour has turned an olive-green colour, in part, due to the incomplete oxidising atmosphere of the kiln. Dimension; 17cm diameter. Condition; a couple of long hairlines eminating from the rim, a chip to the rim, slightly warped, and firing imperfections.

A Chinese, celadon, twin-fish dish from the Longquan kiln; Southern Song to Yuan dynasty. Carved with a lotus-petal design to the exterior, and covered all-over in a beautiful sea-green glaze, apart from the outer base which has burnt reddish. Dimensions; 12cm diameter. Conditions; good. no chips or cracks.

A fine style cylinder seal carved in an attractive beige-yellowish stone, probably jasper, Mesopotamia under the Achaemenid Empire, c. 7th.-5th. century BC.

The artist may have wanted to designate here the Japanese medieval hero, Miyamoto Musashi because the latter fought bareheaded and during the fights his hair electrified by fury stood on his head. Important goblet of cylindrical form flaring towards its top, superbly decorated in relief all over its body with embossed court scenes showing a queen, half naked and sitting on a throne, being taken care of by several servants. Antique Japanese ikebana basket with tall, arching handle. Oval form body on a round foot. Fine split bamboo is tightly woven around the upper and lower portion of the body. A wide band in the center is accented with a wave pattern. The handle is tightly wrapped to create a series of small squares. The basket utilizes many different types of knot work.
