A pair of Chinese porcelain cups decorated with birds and flowers in famille rose enamel. 19th century. Matching hardwood stands. The cups are in perfect condition; the hardwood stands have small age cracks. Diameter of cups: 3".
This rural Mongolian bucket is made from lemon wood and was used daily to draw water from the local village well. Truely an ethnographic relic with original iron fittings, and evidence of constant use and old repairs. It is both large and heavy.
The diameter of the bucket is 18" and the bucket alone is 14" deep, add another 11" for the handle and iron toggle fitting.
The weight is approx 15 lbs. Originally made about 250 yrs ago and probably used constantly for a couple of centuries.

19th century small lacquer netsuke carved in a shape of mokugye - a Buddhist gong with 2 dragons contesting a Precious Gem in their mouths. Carved out of a slab of lacquer, which was made of differently colored layers, thus giving the finished piece rich play of colors. Beautiful patina, signed with a single character MITSU. Height 0.96 inches.
Ebisu sits on a rock, a bamboo stalk in the hand, as if holding a fishing rod, a giant red carp stuck under his arm. Daikoku stands on rice bales and holds his hammer in the hand. Around them a split daikon and the coat and hat of invisibility. On the lower right two seals: Kachutei Ninsei (or Jinsei). Ink and colors on paper (black outlines are hand painted, NOT printed). Painted area 11 ¾ x 18 1/8 inches...
Here we present a real fine example of Korean art: smaller rounded wan-shaped bowl with high foot of the bamboo node style - the dark, fine clay with some enclosures is expertly thrown. The chawan was decorated with a white engobe in brushstrokes with a straw brush (hakeme) before the whole bowl was covered with an ash glaze. No chips or cracks...
Pair of Small Blue and White Ko Sometsuke Dishes. Decorated in the centre with two birds and branches, the rim with butterflies. Chinese Tianqi C1621/27. Diameter 14.6 cm. Condition: very good, some fritting to rims, chip 1.5 cm to inside footrim of second dish. No other chips, cracks or restoration.

Antique Japanese rectangular bronze censor with four legs. The lid has a pierced floral motif and a fu-dog finial. The body of the censor has dragons for handles and is encircled with a scrolling key fret motif. The front has a highly raised makara-like elephant-headed water serpent while the back has a raised peacock. The bottom has a six character mark.
