This is an Early 19th Century, Dear Horn Antler Netsuke in the form of a Recumbent Ox with a rope attached to its head that is laying on top of its body. Excellent detail and powerful compacted form on a material that is very difficult to carve. unsigned.
Netsuke measures 1.75inches (4.5cm) wide, 1.16 inches (3.0cm) deep, and 0.79 inches (2.0cm) tall. Ox's right rear hoof has been repaired, but, its otherwise, in excellent condition, as may be seen in the posted photos.
A Fukagawa eight and 3/8 inch salad plate. Iris dcoration from Chuji Fukagawa's own 19th century design book. Blue underglaze and red, yellow and gold overglaze enamel decoration including random butterflys. Mt. Fuji mark in underglaze blue inside the foot ring. Late Meiji or early Taisho. A point along the edge with a couple of rim frits. We are happy to quote a group price or entertain an offer for all available pieces we have in this pattern.
A very rare Burmese 17th Century excavated bronze Buddha with 5 Elephants on the base (3 on the front and 1 on each side). Good condition, naturally formed patina. No damage or restorations whatsoever. Size 14.5 cm x 5.5 cm (5.75" x 2.5"). This Buddha is elaborately adorned and very difficult to come by.

Chinese white glazed Blanc de Chin Double Gourd Vase with incised 4 Ruyi with 3 flower petals inside each Ruyi design, 19th century, 5 1/2" high, 2 1/8" diameter-bottom rim, 1/2" diameter-top rim, 4" wide-widest middle section of the vase, unglazed bottom and sand got stuck around bottom rim during firing and also large sand firing mark on the side of the vase about 1/2" long, all the dots and dark area is kiln imperfect markings. Top has some tiny frits.
Finely carved Japanese, 19th century, netsuke depicting Daikoku, one of the seven Gods of Fortune, the god of wealth, shown as an entertainer, playing the flute, while a karako appears right beside him while performing an acrobatic act. Signed Tomochika.
Excellent details, form and expressions on this piece, with a wonderful patina.
Netsuke measures 0.98 inches (2.5cm) wide, 0.70 inches (1.8cm) deep, and 1.55 inches (3.9cm) tall. It is in excellent condition, as shown in the posted photos.
19th Century (Tall) Japanese Boxwood Netsuke: Mythical Animal
This is a rather rare representation of a Soken Kisho inspired Mythical Animal, that was carved by an anonymous artisan during the 19th century in Japan. It has a Dragon shaped body with delineated scales, a sprouting unicorn, and a long curled and wavy tail. It is made of light wood, possibly cypress wood, and is covered with a reddish-brown lacquer. On its right side it is inscribed with archaic characters...
