Heavily distorted shoe shaped (kutsu) Chawan from the early 17th century with a strongly flaring mouth made of light, coarse, unrefined Mino clay. The expertly thrown body was trimmed with a potters knife in its lower part and covered with a very deep black iron oxide glaze inside and outside.

A charming porcelain figurine of Fukurokuju, one of the Seven Lucky Gods of Fortune. Fukurokuju is the god of wisdom and longevity, and is easily recognized by characteristics such as his dramatic, elongated forward, his root wood cane, and the scroll he holds. He wears a beautiful, flowing robe with flying cranes accented by gilt outlines. The cranes are an attribute to Fukurokuju as they, too, are a symbol of longevity.

Small jade buckle cut with a grinding wheel, representing a dragon (chilong) curved on itself in the archaic style of the Han period. It is said that this type of buckle was used to suspend a sword on the belt. artist has excellently represented the small animal harmoniously curled up on itself and ready to pounce. A cultural treasure - our oldest and most important mizusashi: wonderful Chosen Karatsu Tataki Mizusashi from the Momoyama Period (1573 - 1603). It was perfectly thrown first into a cylinder shape and then squeezed and paddled into a distorted pear. Iron oxide glaze has been poured inside and out.
On the rim a blueish rice straw ash glaze has been applied in the typical Chosen Karatsu fashion. The mizusashi is supplied with a tailor made lacquer lid of a somewhat later date...

Take a look on this rounded wan-shaped bowl. The light, sandy clay with enclosures is expertly thrown. Including the foot ring the bowl is covered with a mixed feldspar and ash glaze.
The light iron oxide in the clay produded a beautiful loquat color known from Korean Ido chawans...
19th century Chinese carved green fluorite scholar's table libation cup/brush washer with nice purple highlights on the superbly done top rim. It is carved in high relief with birds, flowers and rockery with the bottom part having a twisting stem type riser. In excellent condition, it measures without stand 3" high x 3" long (at the very top rim) x 2.25" wide as the top rim flairs out more across the length.
This is Noragi used in Shiga area for the Meiji period. The trace which this is a white thread, and was repaired many times is very impressive. As for this, good expression was left by calm good work.
