This late 19th C. or early 20th C. carved hard stone water bowl for painters or scholars is about 2 inches high, 5 ½ inches long and 4 ¾ inches wide. The water bowl is carved as a double plum blossom; a lucky bat, two smaller blossoms and leaf are on the side. The lucky bat and plum blossom represent bravery, strength and longevity in Chinese culture. The workmanship is simple and elegant. It is in excellent condition.
Antique Japanese large oribe bowl with cream crackle glaze, short basket style handles with bright blue-green glaze dripping down the sides of the bowl, designs of wavy lines and dots along the rim, bold floral patterns on the interior, swirling pattern on the foot. A truly beautiful piece.

Geyao cup in a very nice Song Dynasty inspired shape. Seventeenth century.
The brown clay to the base seems to be the original grey stoneware which turned to a dark brown during the firing process.
It seems not just to be a brown slip which covers the unglazed body to the base which would be typical for Qing pieces their intention it is to pretend a Song Dynasty piece.

The Chinese Tang Dynasty iron stele is 7 ½ inches tall and 5 ½ inches wide. A Buddhist design is on one side; calligraphy is on reverse. Most of the calligraphy has worn off, but some characters are still legible. It looks like it was made to honor one family¡¯s ancestor. There is a date to indicate it was made during second year of ¡°Zhi De¡±(757 A.D.) of the Tang Dynasty. The old coin style base (stand) is cast iron and was made to fit the stele later.
