This very well carved ivory okimono of a Chinese merchant is a late Meiji period product. It is 5” high, 2” wide and 1 ½” thick at the thickest part. It depicts a Chinese merchant with his hands in his sleeves, resting them in front of him. The artist did a great job on his facial expression and dress which includes a typical Chinese old fashioned two piece robe and hat. One side is decorated with maple and cherry blossom among flowing water (known in Japanese as unkin) and the other side is chrysanthemums and flowing water (known as kikusui). There are at least 5/6 individual style of chinese calligraphy on a fan, late Qing or republic era, by a few calligraphers unknown to me as i am not expert in Chinese calligraphy and i can't read the chinese words. To me it's nice as deco for wall as it has aged by time.

Charming Japanese antique small cloisonne vase decorated with a scene of two koi swimming in a stream under blossoming wisteria, the flowers are done in purple, pink, yellow and white, the entire scene set on a turquoise blue ground, bottom contains an image of a bell (or suzu) with the name Gokou stamped onto the bottom, Meiji Period.

A good condition Five dynasties yue green glaze ewer, rounded side with up raising spout and curve handle, ewer body with vertical ribbing, covered in good green yue glaze.
Ewer is in good condition no chip no crack no restoration, minor fritt at the tip of the spout.

This antique copper gau would have been kept in a prayer niche in the home and would be worn as an ornament for festival.
In place of the Tsatsa (clay figure), there is a Tsakli. It was common practice to use a tsakli (small picture card) to represent the religious item which would be placed in the gau, when time and money became available. The original written talisman remains inside the gau also...
This is a perfect Sung Yuan lotus bowl with the incised flora pattern lotus petal bowl, good color and glaze shine, with the natural crazing, without any crack or repair except small chip on the foot rim
