A very rare shape Yuan qingbai square dragon ewer, square shape with up raising spout and sragon handle, ewer decorated with molded flower motif and find shape of dragon handle, covered with good bluish white qingbai glaze.

Chinese woven cloth textile with black thread background, light blue clouds and waves along its outer edges, auspicious elements in red, black, and blue. The center features a large gold thread dragon with blue horns, clutching a sphere in its claws, with a gold thread shou symbol above its head, to symbolize longevity. Size: 11" diameter

Large antique Chinese cabinet in two stacking sections, made of a beautiful honey color hardwood, cabinet doors on front are lacquered black and have stone inlaid scenes of children playing, the sides have lacquer scenes of mountains. The interior of the bottom section has a shelf with two small drawers. Republic Period. Size: 96" (8ft) high x 47" wide x 21 1/2" deep.

Pair of Qingbai Cover Boxes with twin phoenix decoration, Song/Yuan Dynasty. Diameter approximately 6.8 cm/each and height approximately 3.7 cm/each. Covered with bluish white color. One of the boxes has a tiny chip at the rim. Good condition.

 

From our Chinese Polychrome Collection, a truly superb example of Qianlong Period (1736-1795) Famille Rose porcelain, depicting a lady receiving what is either wine or tea, while her female servant attends to her with a fan. The outer border is decorated with eight individual reserves executed alternatively in either puce or black, with each puce reserve so well-executed that they are essentially miniature paintings in their own right...

A rare and very decorative Tang Dynasty ( 618 - 906 ) sancai glazed Jarlet. Earthenware with a four-color glaze in green, yellow, brown and creamy white. ( Normally such pieces do have a three-color glaze and it is rare to find a piece with four different colors ) Shaanxi - Henan ( Sancai ) Condition : 2 small restored chips to the rim ( nearly not visible ), further in an excellent condition with a very nice glaze. Up for sale is a bolt of antique chinese silk brocade, yardage with roundel of auspicious symbols for Manchu man's robe, 19th or early 20th century. A lot of material, more than enough to make a big robe. 2 groups of 3 small roundels are for making the horse-shoe cuffs as pointed out in the picture. 22nd picture below show a piece of old paper sticks to the corner and a inked seal. A finely decorated blue and white bowl, painted in Kangxi/Yongzheng style depicting numerous (mostly zodiac) animals in an imaginary dreamlike landscape. The four character mark on the base reads "precious object copying antiques" and this item was probably made during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - there is a restored rim chip (top left - enlargement 12) and two restored hairlines. There is also a glaze bubble and two small rim chips (enlargement 10)...

Guangxu sealmark and period, 1874-1908

This orange-brown pottery brush pot, possibly produced at the Yixing Kilns, is hand-sculpted to simulate an old gnarled tree trunk with various crevices, stumps of limbs and peeling bark. It is incised with two Chinese characters, one in archaistic style, the other in cursive script. On the base, there is an impressed Guangxu sealmark. Though unglazed, it has an old patina from use and possibly remnants of colorless lacquer...

Song Dynasty, ca. 1000 /1100

These tall, slender offering jars with lids are well-potted and molded with dignitaries, dragons and horses, and covered with a thin bluish-toned clear glaze. The bluish areas are apparent where the glaze has pooled around the molded figures. The lids are likewise glazed and finished with a simple stylized swirl of clay. The clay body is white and a bit sugary in texture. There are orange areas of staining from burial...

This vase is of a fine, stately hexagonal shape, molded with archaic kuilong designs reminiscent of ancient Chinese bronze work. The celadon glaze is delicate in its greenish-blue shade, and quite thick. The paste is also quite good for 19th century.
