Wonderful wooden pipe case and tobacco pouch. The pipe case contains the original pipe, made of paktong and bamboo. The pouch in the shape of Daruma,made of softwood and boxwood with inlaid mother of pearl eyes. Dimensions: pipe case L. 23 cm, the pouch H. 10,5 cm, W. 7 cm. Condition: excellent. Age: Late Edo, first half 19th century.

Its front is engraved with a beautiful seated princess, and its back is engraved with Chinese characters reading " The best medicine of the West comes to the great East. The base cast with a sixteen-character inscription incorporating an apocryphal Xuande date, reading Da Ming Xuande wunian Jiandu Gongbu guanchen Wu Bangzuo zao (Made by Wu Bangzuo, supervisor of the Ministry of Works, in the 5th year of Xuande of the Great Ming). 26,5cm wide. 6458 gram weight.
A rare and very well painted enamel wine ewer - with documentary decoration in Chinese taste possibly depicting the story of the Daoist Immortal Lu Dong Bin. This item was made circa 1740 during the reign of the Qianlong emperor. Condition - there is an 18th Century iron replacement handle; there are surface marks and there are enamel losses around the finial on the cover( enlargement no.6) and to the tip of the spout (enlargement no.1)...

An early 19th C. museum quality Japanese tabacco pouch. The exterior is decorated with a silk embroideried dragon and a large silver clasp (kanemono) in the form of a dragon chasing a flaming pearl. Complete with manju netsuke on a multi-strand silver chain. The netsuke has a silver coiling dragon chasing a flaming pearl and an Ivory surround. The interior is leather-lined, with a double pouch. Excellent condition considering the age. The pouch is 5-1/2 inches by 3-1/2 inches...

This 19th century carved ivory netsuke of a lotus pod is 1 ¾” high, 1 5/8” wide and 1 ¼” thick. There are six holes on the bottom of the pod and six small movable seeds are inside. Aside of some hairline cracks, it is in excellent condition.

This hand made 19th century Chinese sterling silver inkwell is 2 ½ inches long, 2 inches wide and 1 5/8 inches high. It depicts a cormorant sitting on a fishing basket. It has “sterling silver” (in Chinese) stamped on the bottom and a glass container inside. It has nice patina and is in excellent condition.
