Face mask of almost flat shape, with rectangular protruding forehead, long triangular nose, pierced-through rectangular eyes and mouth. Wood, with fine dark-brown patina. Animal hair has been affixed with black resin, to represent eyebrows, moustache and beard. Old rope still attached to the mask. Himalayas, 19th century, probably even earlier. Fabulous Chinese antique bronze Guanyin Buddha statue, Qing dynasty Kangxi period, around 17th century. The Guanyin is sitting on a base, wearing a long robe, two eyes are looking down, holding a bottle.
Smooth surface, wonderful and exquisite carving. On the back you will find a Kangxi mark. It's a rare statue, very special. No repairs.

Architectural element --- probably the end of a beam --- carved in the shape of a stylized lion. Wood, with fine dark brown patina. Nepal, 18th century, maybe earlier. Length: 22 cm. Height: 10.5 cm. The back of the element was partly attacked by insects, but there is no more danger. The element is nicely counted on a custom stand. Good condition.

The guan yin is wearing a long robe, the surface shows a great patina and on the back you find the mark 'Da Qing Kang Xi Nian Zhi'.

18th Century Tibetan Rudra Chakrin, King of Shambhala Thangka, 43.5 x 25.5 inches, 91.5 x 66 cm. Most of these thangka were photographed through glass frames, so there may be a little blurriness. This thankga was in an exhibition at the University of Texas Art Museum.
