An unusually large and beautiful wine glass or small goblet with a deep and crisp honeycomb molded ogee bowl. The stem features an uncommon multiple spiral air twist (MSAT) corkscrew cable. Conical foot with a rough, snapped pontil.

Up for sale is a very rare antique Chinese Qing dynasty embroidered silk tapestry with 5-color clouds designated for imperial family use only, together with colored bats carrying auspicious Buddhist symbols; the cloud pattern suggested that it is dated back to the first half of 1700's., during the reign of the Chi'en Lung or Qian Long emperor, very intricate embroideries from high quality workmanship! Luxurious and heavy Korean Amamori (leaking rain) Incense Burner Kōro from Edo period.

The irregular shape and the base resemble Japanese Wabi Sabi tea bowls which tells that this piece was made specifically for Japanese market.

Amamori means the surface stained with spots that look like rain leaks on a wall creating beautiful complex scenery.

Up for sale is an antique Chinese Qing Dynasty silk brocade panel, a pair of woven dragon with gold threads taken from the lower part of a dragon robe, early 18th century - Blue color silk satin ground, very fine. Overall in good condition. Minor loss to weaving. Measurements- 38" x 19"

There have been decorative textiles sewn into squares or rectangular shapes since the Edo period in Japan. The small squares are made for tea ceremonies; the medium to larger sized ones (called fukusa) are used to cover seasonal and ceremonial gifts. This old Chinese panel was acquired in Japan mixing into our fukusa collection.

A very unusual dish decorated in somenishiki-de style with a fanciful landscape featuring a Namban figure, a Portuguese perhaps rather than a Dutchman, accompanied by a servant with parasol, walking to and from some sort of compound in the background with a curious barrel shaped tower. The well of the bowl and the exterior decorated in underglaze blue with a Shou symbol, Kotobuki, and three pussy foot Dragons to the exterior of the bowl...

Superb covered incense box entirely gold lacquered with decoration of bamboo leaves and wisteria in a lake environment and on a base of nashiji gold powder. The 2 parts of the box are surrounded by shibuishi (silver and copper alloy). Edo period 18/19th century. Diameter 6cm x Height 3,5cm.

Antique Japanese lacquer raised tray. Standing on four legs with square frame and decorated all over with scrolling vines and pine bows in maki-e lacquer on a black ground with clouds of gold nashiji. Prominent in the design is the appearance of the aoi mon (crest) of the Tokugawa clan, marking this tray as the property of the ruling Tokugawa Shogunate.

An exceptionally fine five colour early Imari flat dish with everted rim. The dish is painted with an arrangement of Chrysanthemums displayed in a larger censer upon a low table or wood stand within a border of stylised scrolls and flowers.
