A pair of interesting candlesticks, 16th.-18th. century.

One is a very interesting, likely Flemish candlestick, in a white bronze or brass alloy, 16th.-17th. century, the other a North-European candlestick of the bell-type.

Condition: The bell stick likely a composite of two old parts, the other with soldered repair.

Unusual late Qing Dynasty (late 19th century to 1911) Chinese scholar’s bronze seal with a sea horse grip and round base. Wonderful quality casting, beautiful patina. The bottom is carved with two sunken characters that can be translated as WINE TERRACE, red seal paste in the grooves. Wonderful scholar’s object. Height 2 3/4 inches, base 5/8 inches round.

The size of Bowl: 8 3/4" Dia x 4"High. Japanese Ko Imari Porcelain Deep Bowl. The bowl has very good enamel works surface as well as on the backside. Surface has the design of Eagle with Pine tree, clouds and bamboo grass. Inside rim area with blue underglaze and chrysanthemum design. Outside has a lots of enamel work with Peony flower and clouds. Very good works of blue underglaze design around foot rim. The condition of bowl is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline...

ntique Chinese embroidery on silk, gold thread depicting dragons, flaming pearls, birds, lions and scrolling designs, outer banks of silk in blue and grey, back is black material, appears to be cotton, 19th century or earlier. The center of the panel (it was made in 2 sections, joined at center) depicts birds in flight, next to them are foo lions in gold and white or silver thread, with large dragons next, all in bright gold thread, eyes of black and white...

Single 19th century menuki (Japanese sword fitting) depicting tanegashima - a matchlock gun - and a powder horn. Rather unusual subject, great design and detailing (see finely incised scrolls on the butt of the gun), gilding, overall in great condition. Length 1.59 inches.

19th century miniature Hirado porcelain sculpture of a reclining karako (Chinese boy) leaning on his right elbow. Excellent crisp modeling with incised details - see his superb dreamy face, well defined hands and clothing details. Beautiful glaze with numerous tiny bubbles giving it depth, unglazed bottom, in excellent condition (no chips, cracks or repairs), very pleasant to the touch. Typical Hirado underglaze blue and brown highlights. Length 2 3/16 inches.

Late 18th to early 19th century Indian bronze votive sculpture of Ganesha sitting on a base, cast in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Ganesha is the remover of obstacles, and thus is invoked before any new undertaking. He bestows good luck on his worshippers, and is invoked in marriage ceremonies and in some forms of Tantric worship...

This adult female puppet is clothed in traditional Thai costume with a open shirt. All parts are hand-carved, tied and strung together, which gives the puppeteer lots of choices of movement. The face has eyes which can open and close independent of each other and the mouth can also be opened and closed.
