Antique Chinese framed blue silk embroidery which appear to be sleeve bands that are stitched together. The textile is decorated with two phoenix, two dragons, and Chinese seal script. All are hand applied using gold gilt wrapped threads. In excellent condition, measures 27" x 15" including frame. The silk measures 21.5" x 10". Dates circa 1900.

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Minton around 1850. It is marked with Minton’s “Ermine” mark. The plate is inspired by the 18th century artist, Francois Bucher, and executed in the Sevres style. It measures 9 5/8 inches in diameter. The central scene shows a young man discovering a maiden asleep in the woods. The painting is expertly done with fine detail in heavy enamels. The celeste blue border contains 3 cartouches of tiny flowers...

A nicely decorated and shaped platter with 12 sides (the form known in France as a douze pans). This type of platter with a bust and scrolling decoration is typical of Moustiers, though the attribution to the Clerissy factory as stated on the stuck-on label on the back is less certain. The dimensions are 13 5/8 inches (35 cm) long, 10 inches (25 cm) wide and 1 ¼ inches 2.5 cm) tall.

The porcelain plate is marked in underglaze blue with the crossed torches of Locre which was known to have exported undecorated porcelain to England. Once in England, very often London, it was decorated with overglaze enamels and gilding. The Locre factory closed in 1820. The decoration is reminiscent of 18th century Worcester. Though it may have been part of a set of plates it may also have been painted to replace a broken plate in an 18th century set...

This is japanese antique tsutsugaki Umakake used in the Tohoku region of the Edo period. This was used during the occasion. Cotton is hand-spun cotton from the Edo period.It is dyed with indigo.The kanji is written as “Kakode Daikichi”. A very fine and rare Bow porcelain chocolate cup with the "Golfer and Caddy" pattern. The cup of tall "U" Shape with a strap handle. The interior with a wavy border, the handle with a flowering plant, and the base with a "2" workman's mark.

The overall condition is excellent, with only an invisibly done museum quality repair to a small interior rim flake. This wonderful example looks much better in person than the photos show. Cup height is 2 7/8" with a 2 3/4" diameter.

Large zushi, made on order for a temple, containing a seated group of En no Gyoja, the father of Shugendo, with his two attendants Zenki and Goki inside a cave. En no Gyoja is sitting with a staff in his right hand, and a hand scroll in his left. The two attendants are crouched before him. The green attendant (Goki) holds a ewer and a stick to ring a bell or mokugyo; the red disciple (Goki) holds an axe.

19th century kagamibuta (“mirror lid”) netsuke with metal top depiction a tiger on rocks by the sea and a dragon in flight among swirling clouds about to engage in a fight. Very nice pairing of most powerful Zodiac animals, bronze disc with gilding, tiger is inlaid with shakudo (alloy of copper and gold) with characteristic black patination resembling lacquer. A beautiful Chinese 10.5 inch high earthenware mudman of mudman holding a gourd and fly swat that has been lamped without any damage to the figurine.
