They are all observing the sky as what appears to be another Buddha or deity floats on a heavenly cloud, who wears a beautiful robe with gold detailing. Antique Japanese wood ranma (transom) with a black lacquer frame. The center panel is carved with a crane flying through pine trees. The crane, as well as the pine, are both symbols of a long and healthy life.

This is a fine antique Japanese cloisonne vase with a midnight blue background and 11 flying sparrows. The birds are well done and there appears to be movement when looking at this piece. The vase looks great but it has a unique hard to see fill to a chip with a short line next to it(see the last image). The vase has not been sprayed. The vase stands 6 inches tall.
Satsuma hibi-yaki tea bowl from the late Edo, early Meiji Period with its antique wood box.
The bowl has a narrow meshed net of fine cracks and a tasteful gold lacquer. Great work.

A large phosphatic splash is on both the front and back. Small bosses are spread around the circumference of the widest part of the body to imitate bronze examples. 6 1/4” diameter by 4 1/4" high...
This antique Chinese box would have been used during the Qing dynasty, possibly by a scholar or shop keeper. The bottom of this box has covered compartments for seals, chops,calligraphy brush, ink sticks and a built in inkstone. There is an abacus built into the lid.
The original hinge pin was lost and has been replaced. The box was made with large dovetail joints and from a hard wood of unknown origins. The outside is dirty and I have not cleaned it...
An elegant and finely proportioned antique English toasting wine glass with a drawn flared trumpet bowl atop a plain stem and conical foot. Lead metal with a rough snapped pontil. A beautiful and graceful glass, and quite uncommon in lead.

Statue of Buddha Sakyamuni, in monk's robes, sitting cross-legged on a double lotus throne, his hands in bhumisparsa mudra. Cast iron. China, Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368 A.D.). Height: 23 cm. Old accident at the back of the statue (see photos), strong oxydation due to great age, otherwise good condition. A rather rare piece
This small Chinese traditional oil lamp is complete with the original hand-blown globe and cover. The base has several rows of ornate grillwork. The cover is engraved on one side with a couple. The other side has a poem. The chinese is old in both character and language and difficult to translate.
The lamp is only 5 inches tall and of higher silver content than usual for China at that time, which indicates an owner of wealth...

An elegant tall vase in signature soft blue by Shinjo Tozan III of Yamagata enclosed in the original singed wooden box dating from the early half of the 20th century titled Yohen Kabin. It is 15cm (6 inches) diametr, 41cm (16 inches) tall and in excellent condition.

This beautiful chawan (tea bowl) was made in the oribe style, a more than four hundred year old tradition from the central part of Japan in the ancient Mino province.
That tradition was in part influenced by tea master and warrior Furuta Oribe (1545-1615) who developed his own style of tea ceremony. The bowl is very well made and in perfect condition. It dates from the mid Edo Period and has no repairs or damages except inborn kiln cracks...
Well potted brush washer with incised decoration and glazed with a nice, glossy, pale-blue Qingbai glaze. The base of the dish full covered with glaze like we do know this from some Ding ware dishes. The rim of the dish unglazed. Southern Song Dynasty ( 1127 - 1279 ). Diameter : 14,6 cm. H : 3,3 cm. Condition: Perfect.

A mold-made votive figure of the god Thot, depicted here seated as a Baboon holding a round object and very detailed with remnants of pigments.
Interesting, large figures like this are usuaully only encountered in faiance or stone so a scarce late representation in terracotta.

Antique Sumatra / Indonesian sterling silver betel nut box, with incised scalloped edges and inlay of flowers, draping vine handles, raised on four small legs, original key included. The interior houses four compartments with a small oval box and two spoons, as well as a small container with white residue of slaked lime. The practice of betel nut chewing is common in many parts of South Asia. Slices of the areca nut would be wrapped in betel leaves and chewed, giving a mild stimulant effect...
