A large porcelain barbed bowl decorated with flowers, birds, fingered citrons, bamboo and other motifs with famille rose enamel and gilt in Imary style. 18th century, Kangxi period. Condition: glaze scratches, enamel and gilt losings; rim glaze bursts as commonly seen on Kangxi wares, plus a few small glaze chips on the rim and one very short kiln crack. Three rectangular drawers line the top, and below are two large rectangular doors with a large brass backplate resembling a flower or sun. Each door is lined with original red paper backing, opening to the chest's interior. Dark softwood exterior with original finish. circa 1900

An antique Japanese Choba Display Tansu made of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. Two sliding glass doors were used to showcase the store owner's wares with two drawers below for safe keeping the inventory. All original hand forged iron hardware including the Gunbai style handles. Drawer corners feature the raised tealeaf design suggesting this chest originated in the Yonezawa region of Japan...
A Chinese court necklace (Chaozhu). The necklace is composed of one hundred and eight red agate beads spaced with three lapis lazuli beads. The lower part is decorated with a lapis lazuli and jadeite combination bead (fotouta), a flat oblong crystal plaque suspending a golden hair crystal drop, and three strings of lapis lazuli beads suspending similar enameled-metal mounted golden hair crystal drops. Late Qing Dynasty. The necklace is in excellent condition.
