This is han-jyuban in Edo period(1800-1867). Silk tsumugi itajime of the safflower dye is an arabesque motif in the lion. The shoulder surrounding is scenery of the travel (Tokaido) in Edo period. The katazome is very exact and beautiful. The material of katazome is wool. There are a little color variation and a small hole. The state is very good. Hand engraved and fully hallmarked for London, England 1882, this 3-3/4" mug features a leaf and floral design on both sides (both slightly different). It has an unidentified maker's mark and a 353/0 pattern number on the bottom. It retains traces of the original internal gilding and it weighs 155 grams. It has a fancy monogram of GETC. Chinese cloisonne tea caddy that sports three roosters on the body, colorful and delightful, this cloisonne tea caddy is an eye catcher with its bright assortment of colors, condition is good with an ever so slight loss of enamel around the lids edge, two burn spots on the base bottom that was done during the manufacturing process. Measures 5" high.

This is an extremely unusual American 12 tube candle mold, made of tin and painted black. I have seen many candle molds in my time, but don't recall ever seeing one with the type decoration that this one has. The front and side have charming and whimsical squiggles of gold paint.

Overall condition is excellent, with the usual spots of paint loss and wear, and some nicks to the base. All the tubes are present, all the paint is original, and there have been no repairs...
