Late Meiji period (1890s to 1912) Japanese wooden kushi (hair comb) with brown and gold lacquer decoration of numerous rice stalks, design continuing onto the back. Inlaid with silver studs (some missing). Beautifully made out of dense wood allowing for fine teeth, superb lacquering, wonderful work in Japanese taste. Length 3.05 inches.
High quality porcelain tea saucer in a most unusual design incorporating polychrome fantasy flowers with pink luster, probably made for the American market. The body is a typical Regency style with tall, sharply angled sides.

This is a dainty set of 4 ruby flash, etched wine glass tumblers, ca.1890 with an elegant Victorian air. Condition: ruby is in good condition; one tumbler has slight loss to the stain and a minor rim chip. Measurement: 3 3/8 in. high. x 2 in. diam.

Englisn Staffordshire Transferware Pottery Plate, Ca. 1850, 9 3/8" diameter, deers and cow resting under the big tree, and Cathedral in the far background, marked "Park Scenery, Phillips, Longport", glaze crackled, some mild stains on the back top area, no damages.
Pretty late Victorian porcelain child's cup. One side has a polychrome transfer image of a playful dog, while the other shows another dog with a blue ribbon around his neck. The rim and handle are decorated with gilt bands. Porcelain cups such as these were prized by Victorian children. The bottom is marked "Germany".
Origin: Germany, ca 1900. Condition: excellent, no chips or cracks, light wear to gilding at rim. Size: 2-3/16" tall.

A Hasami-yaki bowl of scalloped form bowl decorated with konnyaku stamped decoration of Chrysanthemum and leaves, and gobenka to the centre with Tako Karakusa decoration to the rim and a Karakusa arabesque to the reverse and a stylised Fuku mark to the base.
The bowl is a good and relatively early example of the style of ware made at Nagasaki under the Owara clan for the mass market. The dish dates to the mid Edo era and the mid 18th century...

Sterling silver cream or sauce ladle in Gorham/Durgin's popular 1910 "Fairfax" pattern. The reverse is marked with Durgin's hallmark. Very good weight.
Origin: America, circa 1910-30. Condition: excellent, period monogram "MC". Size: 4-7/8" long.
Eight(8) American Porcelain "K T & T, Knowledge, Taylor & Knowledge" from from "East Liverpool", "Ohio" Dessert Plates, Pre 1900, 8" diameter, with hand painted Bouquets of Flower design, marked "K. T. & T. China." and pattern date and numbers in green on the back. There are some glaze stains on the bottom in some of the plates but front decorated surface shows in good condition.
Lovely sterling silver ladle with a masque of Bacchus or some other satyr on the end of the handle. Decorative beading outlines the handle and the bowl. The reverse is marked "925 Sterling 1000". Although by an unknown American maker, this piece probably dates to the late 19th century when Gorham, Tiffany and other quality silversmiths were using lots of mythological motifs. No monogram and in excellent condition. 5" long.
Late 19th century Korean silver coffee spoon with recessed enamel yin/yang symbol surrounded by 4 trigrams from I Ching, the whole design representing the Korean flag. Excellent crisp work, in very good condition, hallmarked in Korean on the stem. Length 5 inches.
Huangyangmu (rosewood) toggle of a ringed bottle gourd with a stopper, representing the gourd of Li Tieguai, one of the Eight Immortals, containing the magic potion. Symbol of longevity and protection.
