This absolutely wonderful pair of Victorian opera glasses are marked Lemaire Fabt, Paris. They were made in Paris, and date back to about 1880-90. They measure 4” wide and 3” tall when fully extended and were part of the extravagant Paris opera scene during the Victorian period. What a joy to be able to take them to the opera today. This pair of wine glasses was produced in Bohemia by Moser in the 1880s. They are 5 ¾ inches high and the diameter of the opening is 2 inches. The glasses are hand blown and have leaded content so that they ring. The glasses are hand enameled in exquisite fashion. All of the enamel is raised. Elaborate gilding fills in the spaces in between. Tiny pink roses dangle from the bottom of the bowl and down the stem. Rows of white enamel dots encircle the foot of the glasses...

A large, Rubina, overshot, Bohemian glass jug, made likely by Harrach, around 1880. The jug is 10 inches (25,5 cm) tall and 6 1/2 inches (16,5 cm) wide (to handle-tip). Except for a small rim-chip, the jug is in good condition. Unpolished, recessed pontil. Unmarked - attributed to Harrach. The glass fluoresces in a gentle green coloration when subjected to black-light - typicall of 19th century soda-lime glass objects.

19th century Japanese Satsuma ware one half of a belt buckle decorated with cranes among flowers and leaves. Metal back stamped with the mon (crest) of the Shimazu samurai clan - they were daimyō (great lords) of the Satsuma han, which spread over Satsuma, Ōsumi and Hyūga provinces. Condition:  The ring of gilding around the foot shows some wear.  It is otherwise in excellent condition.

Nice patina, minor traces of usage: small chip at one of ears, short and unimportant crack in skull. All in all very good condition.
