Antique Japanese set of five lotus leaves and blossoms. Carved of wood and lacquered silver. Made for a Buddhist altar, these leaves and blossoms symbolize the stages of the path toward enlightenment. Every petal of the lotus flower is carved separately. Each blossom and leaf comes fitted with a custom metal stand so they can be rearranged at will.

Unusual late Taisho (1920s) netsuke of kagamibuta (mirror lid) type with wooden bowl, rotating himotoshi peg and cloisonné top decorated with numerous flowers. Very well made, beautiful enamel colors, in superb condition. Bowl diameter 1.72 inches.

1920s good size chosen matsu (Korean pine wood) netsuke of himono (dried fish). Well captured essence of the object, carved in characteristic Hida school style with clever use of wood color and structure to add to the charm of the piece. Unusual 19th century bronze netsuke of a seated monk. Nicely cast, beautiful patina, some wear. Characters on the bottom appera to read ROKUSHIN, possibly the name of the artist. Height 1.23 inches.

A beautiful Art Deco cobalt blue overlap cut crystal perfume bottle in “Design 7623” by Cristalleries de Nancy. The bottle is cut alternately with clear pillars accented with stars at either end and blue pillars accented with printies rising to a step-cut shoulders and panel-cut neck. The hollow-blown stopper is cut to match with a large star cut at the apex...

A 6 inch diameter signed Galle bowl on which the rim is rolled inward to give the bowl 3 lobes.. The dark red overlay of fuschia blossoms and leaves is laid on a nearly colorless ground with a satin finish. The bowl is 3 inches deep and has a ground pontil.

South American dish, ca 1920. Hexagonal with flared rim comprising Brazilian 500 Reis coins minted from the 1850s to 1880s. Three cast leaf-mounted paw supports. A great way to give “currency” to your décor. Very good condition with deep patina.

1930s Japanese carving of an ivory bird floating on a wooden pond. Wonderful crisp realistic carving, excellent painted highlights, very nice stand with wave patterns.
