Origin: America, c. 1920. Condition: good, about 10% paint loss. Size: 1-5/8" tall.

This is an absolutely rare black Seto chawan ( setoguro chawan ) from the late Momoyama Period, which means the late 16th century or the changeover from Azuchi Momoyama to early Edo.

Blackish-brown glaze amalgamates with a wild and roughly thrown body. It is very heavy for a tea bowl, almost 500g. Please note that there is also an interesting kiln mark ( watch image number 3 )

Pair of German silver Renaissance hunting figures, ca 1890. The man wears doublet over baggy chemise and hose with belt hanging loosely around hips. A long hat feather drapes gracefully along his arm. The horn is raised expectantly while the other hand rests on his sword. The woman wears a bodice-revealing fitted hip-length coat over a pleated skirt. Her braids are coiled in the back and her hat sports a jaunty feather. On a raised arm perches a falcon...

Exquisite Antique Japanese pair of large garden lanterns. Each is made of cast iron in 10 sections. The roof of each has raised writing, the lantern portions are decorated with kiri blossoms. The pedestals are coiled around with dragons in low relief, the base of each has high relief fu-dogs. Very difficult to collect. Meiji Period (1868 - 1912) All original iron Size of each: 62 1/2" high x 24" wide at widest part. (Each base is approx 20" wide)

A rare and unusual long neck bottle with finely potted, the small neck rising to be slight larger mouth rim, decorated with large area of splashes dark red among bluish ground. Acquired from Indonesia archipelago near of Natuna Islands. Yuan Dynasty 13th-14th century. Condition is perfect with no any cracks, no any chips and free from any restoration. Height: 24,5 cm.

A rare large Asian,possibly Mongolian, large brass carved and sculptured tray table with a wooden base, circa 1880s measuring 44 inch diameter

Late Qing Dynasty (late 19th century to 1911) Chinese horn square seal of plain shape with very crisply carved Chinese characters on the base and traces of red seal paste in the grooves. The impression of the seal is shown on Enlargement 1. Beautiful light color horn with old age lines horn, incised character on the top for the owner to know the orientation of the impression. Mellow patina, very nice object for scholar’s table. Height 1 1/4 inches, base 1/2 inches square.

Lenox Porcelain Gold Rim Soup Plate, Ca. 1920, 8 1/2" diameter, 1 3/8" high, marked "Lenox, Made Expressly for Ovington Bros. New York" in green and 7/J.33 in Gold above green mark. The condition is good. This one(1) soup plate will match with #1405843 below.

A Rare and fine blue and white altar vase, well balance potted elegant shape and with main decoration of peony flower scrolls to the middle of the body. Two horizontal ears to below the rim. Very good condition and fine glaze excepted the cobalt blue is slight blur, otherwise is very good condition with no any chip, no any crack and free from any restoration. A very rare Giant Size Dry Lacquer Buddha Head on a custom made base (can be removed), Shan State, Burma, 19th Century. Very nice smooth Patina, some inconsequential wear, especially to individual hair curls, but excellent overall condition as shown. The Ushnisha or Flame on the top of the head is removable and most likely from a later date as is typical of such venerated Buddha images. Guaranteed 19th Century. A most unusual square porcelain bowl with scalloped corners. Iy is brightly enameled with a plethora of flowers. Each corner features a bat that symbolizes fortune and good luck. This lovely Chinese bowl is in exceptional shape with minimal wear, no hairlines, chips, and free from restoration. Dated to the late 19th century, it measures 4.5 inches across by 2.25" high.

These Chinese long wooden bobbins were used for winding thread for routine sewing chores. As a household tool, used by generations of women within the family, they were hand carved and painted with the continious use in mind. Inside each bobbin there is a small bead which freely moves back and forth and acts as a noise maker when the bobbin is in motion...or falling to the floor.

Size : 16cm wide, 9,5cm high. Teapot in good conditions except small chipped at the lid.
