A fine and delicate antique bronze right hand of Buddha. Not mounted, good condition and natural aged patina. Fingers down and palm outwards symbolizes gift giving or bestowal.

Unique carved wood vessel for use in Tea Ceremony for flower arrangement, ikebana. Very smoothly polished and lacquered in the inside; standing on three small “feet”. It has a wonderful smooth patina all-over. L. 26 cm x 17 cm. Meiji-Taisho.

Pair of beautiful iron Abumi (horse riding stirrups). Gorgeous imprinted geometrical flower design all over iron, contrasted with red lacquered foot areas, from Edo period (18th century) . The black may be Shakudo, copper and gold.

This is a finely carved 19th century Japanese Netsuke depicting a Standing Samurai, wearing a typical caped robe, who is holding a box with both hands. Stained for effect; rich patina. Unsigned.
Netsuke measures 0.76 inches (2.0cm), and 1.47 inches (3.8cm) tall.
Netsuke is in excellent condition, as may be seen in the posted photos.
Stoneware vase covered with a thick sky blue glaze stained with dark blue shades and purple spots. The base left unglazed reveals the construction of the vase, the very thick clay body and it seems to be made in 2 distinguished layers, one cream and the other brown. Small items such as a bamboo ladle for water (hishaku), a container of charcoal, cups, a tea whisk (chasen), a container for water (mizusashi), and other items surround a large central image of a portable iron tea kettle (kama) and brazier (furo). This is a very unique copper alloy or bronze axe head. It is possibly Elamite in origin. It appears to be an early piece based on the reddish brown patina that is typical of high copper content pieces. It does appear to have been cleaned at some point. The socket is rectangular. There is a perforation on either side of the socket for attachment to the shaft pole. There is also a perforation in the rear blade which may or may not be original to the piece...
Japanese pair of porcelain Inari kitsune (foxes). Glazed and painted they sit on brightly colored bases, one with a scroll, the other with a ball in it's mouth.
Also called zenko, these good spirit kitsune are specifically associated with the goddess, Inari. Believed to be both messengers and guardians, kitsune served Inari in her role as goddess of agriculture, specifically rice.
