TWO WOODEN BOWLS

Scooped out from pine tree blocks, actually once used as the grain containers of Korean everyday ware, early 20th century, D 21.5 x H 20cm (8.46 x 7.87in), D 18 x H 7.8cm (7.08 x 3.07in). Smoothly trimmed by chisel for the stability of each bottom. Aesthetically grain is coming out as well. Solid make, with some scratches, cracks, stians, etc...

LARGE SOBAN TRAY

Originally a dodecagonal top plate of individual wooden table called ‘soban’, actually applied to a tray in the later years when its legs are damaged. Early 20th century, Korea. approx. D 42 x H 2.3cm (16.53 x 0.90in). Some expected scratches and chips due to aging as is. In practical condition for the usage of tray, though slightly unstable. A piece of aged folk art for enjoying such withered tastefulness...

A shipwreck Northern Sung Dynasty or earlier Green glaze celadon jarlet, with flower pattern. Jar in good condition no damage except one ring chipped, no crack on jar body, small temporary restoration on the one ring, manufacturing defects on glaze surface. ...please ask for more photos

The basic fabric is a very fine plain weave, probably cotton with some silk, embroidered with pastel colored silk yarn and metal threads. Worked identically on both surfaces. Condition: few losses of metal thread, six small holes, little patina. Dimension: 214 cm x 36.5 cm.

Noren, a shop curtain made of hemp (taima) whose wefts and warps are hand plied and dyed with kakishibu (persimmon tannin). It has the shop logo "Tawara (俵）”with sumi. All hand sewn. In good condition but has some stains and a hole (1cm x 0.5cm) and mending stitches. The second half of the 19th to early 20th century. W:125cm, L:147cm

A blossom shaped porcelain plate asymmetrically decorated with fruits, flowers and birds above bonsai scissors, in underglaze blue, white, green and gold. The base with blue auspicious character mark. Brown glazed rim. Condition: some wear to gold. Dimension: diameter 21.6 cm and 3.6 cm high.

Japanese antique Indigo dye cotton gotaiten-shibori ro-old kimono Taisho period(1912-1924).It has a thin discolorations .However, It is no damage.They are not disturbing, and as a whole it is in very good condition.This kimono does not have lining. size:Length 132cm (51.9") sleeve to sleeve 126cm (49.6")

This is a Japanese antique handspun & natural indigo dye cotton tsutsugaki and katazome child hanten of Horse and ema ,shogi pattern of the Meiji era. The design of the shogi piece from hyoutan is an auspicious proverb that jokes really come true. There are stains and discoloration.It has no damage. Humorous blue and white porcelain netsuke depicting a recumbent Chinese boy with movable biscuit porcelain tongue. The base unglazed and with two himotoshi. Condition: fine, only two short firing cracks. Dimension: 7.7 cm x 3.5 cm wide.

A beautiful pair of scissor shaped sugar nips or tongs, with shell bowls. Silver, probably Irish, Rococo style, late 18th century. Unmarked, like many early sugar nips. Width "6¼/ 16 cm, weight 67 grams. Condition: the joint is somewhat unsteady and apparently these sugar nips have never been restored.

Large lanceolate hand axe made of a flake of tan quartzite. Bifacial tool with carefully worked front side. The rougher back side with fewer removals. Cutting edges and surface weathered by sand and wind action.
This type of tool making stands for the presence of Palaeolithic populations in North Africa.

Black glazed drinking cup with steep wall, slightly everted rim and single horizontal handle. Standing on a low ring foot. Covered with fine quality black gloss inside and out.

An oval box made of white brass (baitong). The top lid incised with banana leaves, chrysanthemum and bamboo. The inside of the lid with an abrasive surface for grinding ink. With copper lining and base. Dimension: 7.6 cm x 5.8 cm x 2.6 cm. Condition: traces of use, top lid with spot and some wear.

Thin-walled creamware cup with narrow base, rounded body and slightly flared rim. Single strap handle from belly to rim. Bichrome linear decoration inside and out.
