Small statue of Kuan Yin, the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, wearing a diadem and formal robes, sitting on a double lotus throne, her right hand in abhaya mudra. Gilt bronze, with fine dark green patina. China, 19th century. Height: 8.8 cm. Gliding partly missing, otherwise every good condition.

Ancient Buddhist book of sutras comprising of two thick lacquered and gilt cardboard covers decorated with 16 Buddhas sitting on a throne with their hands in bhumisparsa mudra posture. The central Buddha is flanked by two smaller buddhas, and at their feet are two small praying monks. The book has 42 X 2 pages (written on two sides) written in black characters. Burma, 19th century. Chinese finial hat, known in Chinese as guanmaodi, done in repousse silver topped with a lion. A lage round agate bead, known as dingzhu is placed in the center, the middle has a cylindrical bead with repousse figures, and the base has a very pale jade ring. Age: 19th-20th Century. Size: 4" high.

Small altar comprising of a statue of Green Tara sitting in regal repose on a lion, with a small statue of a worshipper on her lower right side, the whole group surmounting an elevated throne on four legs with, at the back, a large mandorla on the upper side of which stands a small Buddha in relief. Ancient inscription at the back of the mandorla (see photo). Bronze, with green and reddish patina in the recesses. India, 16th century or earlier. Height: 5 1/8" (13,4 cm)...

Small statue of Buddha wearing a diadem, in a meditative posture ("dhyana mudra"), holding a stylized beggar bowl in his hands, sitting cross-legged on a double lotus throne. Bronze, with thick encrusted green patina. Tibet, 16th century. Height: 5 1/2" (14 cm). Diadem partly chipped, a few tiny casting defects, otherwise very good condition. A rather unusual aspect of the Buddha image.

Small reliquary box, of cylindrical shape, with its cupola shaped lid ending in a decorated point at its top. The body of the box is decorated with three heads of Buddha in relief and three stars themselves in relief, surmounting a geometric design also in relief. Silver alloy, with a fine age patina. Remnants of soil encrustations. Pakistan, Graeco-Buddhist art, Gandhara Period, Ca. 1st to 3rd century. Height: 7.8 cm. Good condition.

Statue of a sitting protector, with squarish features, his hands in praying posture. Strongly eroded wood, with remnants of kaolin on some areas. Nepal, 19th C. Height: 39 cm. The statue is mounted on a custom stand. NOTE: collected in 1974 by its former owner.

A large soupstone seal as well as a decorative art item carved by late Qing Dynasty artist Xu Xinzhou, signed Xing Zhou, studio name of the artist. Good condition except an old chip at one end of the stone. Dimensions: Approximately 6-1/2"L X 3"H X 2"T.

This set includes two Imari dishes, two gold and iron red glaze dishes, and a famille rose dish. Very good condition.

Chinese porcelain dish decorated with flowers on black ground in famille rose enamel. Guangxu six character mark inside the foot rim and of the period. The dish is in perfect condition. Diameter: 5-3/4".

This handled American coin silver cup was made by William K. Vanderslice in San Francisco, CA, circa 1870, consisting of a simple tapered cylindrical form with rope banding around rim and base. Vanderslice was an early California silversmith, working in the mid 19th century. He became widely acclaimed for his fine silverwork. This cup is marked with his name, San Francisco, makers mark and Pure Coin...

A Chinese nephrite pendant (珩）with double dragon head, Waring State style, late Qing Dynasty. Length: 3-5/8" (9 cm).

Head of Buddha, surmounted by a flaming usnisa, its face with lowered eyes reflecting a deep inner serenity. Bronze, with slightly encrusted patina of dark-green color. Thailand, Nan Chao Kingdom, 8th to 13th century. The head is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand. Height (without stand): 3 3/4" (9,5 cm)...

Very rare man’s ceremonial tunic from the Chin ethnic group, probably Falam Township, Chin State Myanmar. I would consider this an antique heirloom blanket between 1910-1940 finely woven from hand spun cotton thread and natural dyes. This incorporates the classic Chin diamond twill weft pattern as well as double side embroidery. W: 128cm/50.5in and L; 189cm/74.5in. This only one from this Chin group I have ever managed to collect...

Antique Japanese rootwood hibachi with a lovely textural look and feel. It has a red and black lacquered cloth rim, and a bronze interior with an interesting patina with a layering effect.
