Lovely antique Japanese large rectangular tray with a scene of a woman gazing at the moon (inlaid mother of pearl), she is sitting near a small stream with flowers and grasses, misty clouds above, the tray is made of kiri wood and the decoration is made of beautiful cherry wood bark, outer sides are also covered in cherry bark, Taisho Period. Size: 24 3/4" long x 15 1/4" wide x 3 1/2" deep.

Late 19th to early 20th century Chinese porcelain figure of a mythical beast crouching on a rock above cresting waves with its head lowered as it laps the water with its tongue. Wonderful potting, excellent face, beautiful use of turquoise and aubergine colored glazes. Great patina, compressed dust on the surface, few spots of losses to the glaze, the body stamped with 2 characters on the bottom. Height 2 11/16 inches.

A Japanese heavy bronze incense burner with Murashido marbled areas decorating the sides, bottom, and lid. The burner is six sided, has a lid pierced with three bats (good fortune), and a top knob in the shape of a mushroom (long life). There is a makers mark stamped on the bottom (Esteemed Hall?). The burner measures 4 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" in diameter. We cannot find any comparable bronze burners, but we believe it dates to the turn of the Century. The condition is excellent with minor wear...

The mask is mostly used in the play The Cursed Metal Head-Ring for the role of the wife who is crazed with jealosy beyond any possibility of redemption. Uncommon image, excellent mad facial expression. Cleverly carved out os soft evergreen wood in ittobori (one-cut) style characteristic of Hida school, colors and gold lacquer highlights, beautiful patina. Signed KYUNADA in ink on the back. Offered is this beautiful, aquatic-themed, crackle-glass ewer, made most likely by Bohemian master, Moser, around 1910. The ewer is 7 inches (18 cm) high and 6 inches (15 cm) wide (to handle-tip). It is in good condition. Unsigned, as expected (for similar Moser crackle-glass, aquatic-themed objects, please refer to page 96 of Gary Baldwin's book, 'Moser artistic Glass - edition two').

Two beautiful Bohemian glass decanters - both cut, one with further etched enhancements. The cut one is 10 1/2 inches (27 cm) tall, 4 3/4 inches (12 cm) wide and 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) deep. It has some bottom scratches and a small amount of usage-cloudiness. The applied-handled one is 10 1/2 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) wide and 2 3/4 inches deep. It has some scratches on the bottom and fleabites on the stopper's bottom. It has the number, '5' etched on its stopper-bottom.

It is in good condition (some flea-bites at bottom-rim from usage). The vase is artist-signed, Brandt'. Unsigned, but made most likely by Moser - usage of gold and platinum in the decor is a particular Moser trait.
