Miniature Buddhist stupa carved from rock cristal, comprising of a central stupa surrounded by four lateral smaller stupas, standing on a square base. The piece is made of twelve parts which were carved separately as shown on photos # 9 and 10. Gandhara Graeco-Buddhist art, 1st to 5th century. Height: 9.8 cm. A few stains due to a prolonged stay underground, slight abrasion, otherwise very good condition.

Korean antique 2-section personal head side chest, extensive chased brass (silver color) hardware, lovely mother of pearl inlay of birds and flowers, 4 small drawers across the top, bottom section has one large drawer, opening cabinet doors in the middle lead to one large compartment, dark color finish, nice wood grain, Chosun Dynasty (circa 1900). 4 Clingnancourt hard paste porcelain dinner plates with shaped edge, an elaborate gilt rim, a continuous band of hand painted roses and leaves and in the well of the plate rose sprigs. All with the Clignancourt stencil mark in red on the underside. 9 ¾ inches (25 cm) diameter.

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Minor wear

Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and to help it resurrect.
