A most gorgeous porcelain bowl hand painted with green and pink fancy decorations around the rim of the bowl with a central vignette of two birds fluttering in a magnolia tree. The rim is edged with a mustard enamel. The condition is very good with some enamel loss in the bowl though not easily recognizable. Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty (1644-1911 A.D.) blue and white Porcelain vase of baluster form with a flared neck, finely hand painted underglaze in a vibrant tone of cobalt blue, with 10 writhing five-clawed horned dragons chasing flaming pearls amidst flames and the clouds. the base, painted in underglaze blue with a six-character mark.

Stunning Antique Japanese 2 section choba tansu. Hand crafted from solid Beautiful keyaki wood. Finely detailed forged iron work including round lock plates and hirute shaped drawer pulls. Includes locking safe box with 2 small interior drawers that are also made of keyaki. Piece retains its original translucent red-orange lacquer finish that glows in the light.

Fabulous homespun black wool blanket with the best bittersweet color stripes at both ends. It is very soft and in very good condition but not mint. It has a later hand sewn edge on one end that is coming loose in a couple of places and there are a few small thin areas. It is 68" by 60" and it makes quite a statement. It is not as early as the center seam blankets but it makes up for it in looks.

Three English silver fiddle serving spoons, all three made in London. One is Georgian, the other two Victorian. Spoon with engraved N has year marks for 1841 and makers mark GA for George William Adams, engraved JJH 1842, makers mark RB for Richard Britton and AVW 1829, makers mark JH for Jonathan Hayne. Length "8 ¾ - 9/ 22.5 – 23 cm, weight altogether 213 grams. Condition: fine.

Japanese Nabeshima ware porcelain dish, with blue and white motif of a bird perched on a persimmon branch bearing fruit. The dish stands on a high, deeply recessed foot with outer "comb" cobalt blue design around its edges.

Needlework sampler, 22 1/2" by 17" (26" by 20" framed), the design incorporating the alphabet, floral motifs, a heart, four paired figures and a house. Condition is excellent, the colors not faded. This would date to circa 1970's; a so-called "Paragon" kit available at the time. Nice decorative piece for the Americana or folk art setting.

A wonderful set of six Victorian silverplate napkin rings. The outsides are decorated with two cherubs grasping baroque reserves framed with swirls of acanthus leaves, pendant bellflowers and other ornate decorative devices. The insides are brightly gilt. It is very unusual to find a complete matching set of Victorian napkin rings.

Origin: probably American, circa 1890. Condition: all original, no monograms, normal wear the the plating on the insides and outsides...
