An Arts & Crafts English sterling silver pierced tea strainer, fully hallmarked for Birmingham England 1905 - 1906. This sntique 5-1/2" leng strainer has a simple tubular handle with a closed end. Chinese Jin to Yuan dynasty Cizhou oval form stoneware wine bottle with four lug handles below the short, everted rim. The upper body is covered in a creamy white crackled slip and is separated from the lower iron-brown section by a narrow horizontal band. Antique Japanese choba tansu (merchant's chest) made of kuri (chestnut) wood in warm brown lacquer finish. Each drawer face is decorated with elegant iron hardware accenting. The middle of the chest has two sliding doors with a center locking pin, with two more drawers and shelving within. Keys are included. Dates from late Edo period c1850.

Super fine old wool pangden cloth- all hand spun wool and natural dyes. This piece is an exceptionally large piece consisting of 5 panels, circa 40 to 50 years old. I have had quite a few of these in the past and this is one of best I have seen.The weave is very tight and heavy and would make an excellent small blanket or throw rug. In the past these were worn by married women, but these days they are a fashion accoutrement for the modern Tibetan woman...
Rare Blanc De Chine Figure of Guanyin standing with a Phoenix at her side and a scroll in her hand. Kangxi L17thC. Height 17 1/8" (43.7cm). Condition: thumb and end of forefinger restored with a slight glaze flaw to sleeve, hairline crack 1 1/4" (3.2cm) from firing fault in footrim.
19th century Asakusa school staghorn netsuke in a ryusa shape with openwork carving of a water dragon among lotus leaves, flowers and buds. Superb design and excellent quality sharp carving, extraordinary warm patina, darker porous areas as is usual with staghorn. Diameter 1 5/8 inches.
This is a fabulous Japanese cloisonne vase. It is done in a combination of traditional cloisonne and sculpted silver basse-taille work. The vase stands 6 inches tall and is 5 1/2 wide. It displays great but does have some damage or imperfections to the translucent enamel. This worst can be seen in the last image. There is a feathering in the enamel at the bottom rim. It is much more attractive in hand. The vase has silver rims and is signed Ota Jinnoei.
This late 19th century reverse glass painting is 13” x 19 ½” (20 ½” x 26 ¾” including frame). It depicts two birds surrounded by a rock garden, peony and plum blossoms. The translation of the calligraphy is: “Seeking refuge to escape the tyranny of the times; seeing those beautiful blossoms, it seems spring has begun the new year.” One of the signature seals on the top reads “Shao Xi;” this is the name of the artist. The frame is a newer replacement...
