Decorated with a scene of birds and trees in the Kakiemon palette and style in overglaze enamels on a clear glazed white porcelain background. The base is slightly recessed and the footring is unglazed, exposing the hard, white porcelain paste. The shoulder is carved with a groove design that radiates from the base of the neck and is decorated with a scattered flower design in overglaze red enamel. The base is painted with an underglaze blue fuku mark in cursive script...
Splendid Kuro Raku Chawan by one of the most important potters of all time, the 3rd Raku Donyu also known as Nonko. It was made around 1650 and was named 'chidori' which means 'a thousand birds' or 'plover'.
It is in great antique condition and has one of the best and finest Kintsugi gold repair landscapes I have ever seen. You can still find the tong mark on the bowl - please look at picture number 9 and 4.

Etruscan bowl of shallow form with two vertical ribs and false cord decoration on the inward sloping rim. The single handle is marked with grooves. Set on a high flared foot.

This is an antique Dehua type Blanc de chine censer, it possibly of very early Qing or of late Ming Dynasty, very thin potted body quite translucent. In perfect condition without chips, crack or any repair...except some glaze degradation caused by burial, please enquire for more photos and info, thank you for looking....

19th century staghorn ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) carved in a shape of standing Okame wearing a long robe and sporting a compass in the front. Possibly had a face in the opening above the compass, but I am not entirely sure. Nicely made, good patina, compass is functional. Height 0.7 inches.

A pair of very detailed molded porcelain figures of standing pigeons. The glaze is slightly blue/green. On close examination it is clear that though they were made from the same mold, the details of the lines in the feathers, breasts and the bases were done by hand. A slight tint of orange shows through thin spots in the glaze on the bases. They are an identical pair rather than an opposing pair. Signed, Wm. S. Morgan, Somerset Co, 1872, this woven wool coverlet was made in Somerset County in Jenner Township, Pennsylvania. In 1870, the factory employed ten workers and produced a variety of woolen goods, including blankets and coverlets. Condition is good, but does have some damage, please study photos. Measures 66" x 72".

Antique Japanese framed abstract print, signed Takeshi Hara (1942-present) in pencil, number 36/60, titled "Strokes 74-1". Hara was born in Nagoya, Japan in 1942 and graduated the Oil Painting Dept. of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts in 1967. He later went on to become a professor in the Dept. of Painting at Tokyo Zokei University until he retired in 2008...

Very nice sterling silver sugar spoon with a plique-a-jour enamel handle decorated in three shades of translucent enamel. The matte gilt bowl has a rounded spade shape. The twist handle opens into a stained-glass like terminal. Plique-a-jour enameling was usually reserved for more delicate pieces like demitasse spoons, so a sugar spoon is rather uncommon. Unmarked, but probably European.
Ca. 1880. Condition: excellent, no enamel damage, original gilding. Size: 5-9/16” long.
