Late Qing Dynasy (1880s 10 1911) century Chinese glass seal of square section. Wonderful simple piece appropriate for a scholar’s desk, beautiful transparent glass, very pleasant finish to the surface. The bottom is carved with four raised characters, old dried seal paste in the grooves. Antique chinese silk had mede for a child. The hat is beautifully embroidered with peonies and chrysanthemums. There are tassles, light pink, on either side. The top of the hat has a bird with a tassle in its beak, a smaller bird sits below. Republic period.

Very well potted dishes with a very good pale bluegreen Celadon colour. The colour of the left side piece still better then the already very good colour of the right side piece. Unfortunately my images are not able to show the real beauty of the colour. Southern Song Dynasty Longquan ware ( 1127 - 1279 ). Diameter : 12,6 cm. Condition : Perfect

A rectangular dish, kakunagazara, made for the Japanese domestic market decorated with an auspicious manji-tsunagi, wan diaper, gilt brocade ground inset with ume hana, plum blossom inset with niche like lobed reserves containing stylised Camellia, Tsubaki. The central reserve, mikomi, window, containing geometrically arranged stylised Bamboo, take, Bamboo shoots and grasses with mist or clouds in Kumo finger form painted in underglaze blue...

Guangxu mark and period, 1875-1908

The interior is well-painted in various colors of overglaze enamels, having a central Shou medallion surrounded by four auspicious characters rendered in gold with red outlines on a white ground. The reverse is painted with two flower sprays over the clear glaze which covers all but the exposed footring. The six-character Guangxu mark is painted in two vertical lines in dark red enamel. The yellow enamel has some areas of light wear from use...

Japanese black lacquered wood stand, with shell inlay courtyard scene of scholars practicing calligraphy on a scroll, bamboo forest and other floral motifs, a butterfly, and a central figure holding an auspicious two character sign. The side panels have openwork carvings and scrolling apron. The feet all connect to a squared stretcher base.

Dimensions: 24" x 15" x 7 3/4" H

Set for carrying lunch. Bamboo and rattan basketry box lined with green brocade, the outside with an intricate diamond pattern woven in two colors, the corners fortified with leather. Dangling from one of the brass handles is a natural gourd with silver stopper and a lacquer sake cup, imitating Tamba stoneware. Japan, Meiji era, early 20th century.

Introduction: Myanmar silver-work is an ancient industry dating back to the 13th Century. Monarchs customarily used silver and gold bowls as rewards for the ministers and the attendants' loyalty and faithfulness to the royal family. Silver items were also a symbol of wealth because only the ministers, the generals and the rich citizens used silver for items such as betel-nut boxes and stands, flower bowls and vases, spittoons, daggers, dagger sheaths, and regalia and waistbands for the kings...

Antique Chinese wooden stool with a charming, rustic look. The seat is comprised of one solid piece with bold woodgrain, with four legs rounded at the feet and connected by horizontal stakes. Size: 21" height, 17" width

A fine 17th century French tapestry table runner, with the motif weaving flowers and fruit throughout the piece. The overall condition is excellent, with no holes or tears. Carefully laid down on a linen backing. The length is 67" and the width is 13 3/4".

Acquired from a long time private collection, where it was used as a table display piece, but could certainly be used, in smaller segments, to make a number of exquisite pillows.

A very rare intact larger terracotta sculpture of a group of deities, Early Roman, ca. 1st. century AD.

She is standing semi-nude with a draped gown at her back and elaborate headdress. Below stands to smaller attendants, perhaps kids / smaller deities. Beautiful intact terracotta which should be researched some more.

Size: 22 cm. tall and wide as well.

Condition: Superb! Perfectly preserved with uncleaned sediments.

Chinese 19th-20th century famille rose teapot. 6,7 cm high. Good conditions.

Highly ornate silver belt buckle with turquoise and coral Stones, Tibetan, 19th century, mounted on contemporary black leather belt. The silver buckle measures 7 1/4" wide, and is 1 1/2" deep, with two large bezel set coral beads and a turquoise stone between them. The black leather is 1 3/8" wide and 47 3/4" long...

Early 19th C. Japanese Iwami School Netsuke: Sennin This is a finely hand-carved netsuke in Ebony wood of a standing Sennin striking his beard with his right hand. Netsuke was carved by an unknown artist from the Iwami Province sometime during the Early 19th century. The carving exhibits the carving characteristics of another netsuke in this store (Photo #8), with similar robe and natural himotoshi (under the left wide sleeve of the Sennin's robe).
