An antique Japanese 2 section Cha Tansu (tea display chest) made of Kaki (Persimmon), Tochi (Horse Chestnut) and Kiri (Paulownia) woods. Upper section features sliding doors, shelves and a drawer where utensils and accessories for tea service were stored away. The glass doors and shelves were used to showcase seasonal and holiday decorations the owner wished to display.

A small and lovely water basin wit a rare Ru-type glaze ( Ru-ware, Ruyao ) following the glaze of the extremely rare Ru pieces of the Song Dynasty.. The base of the basin with 3 spur-marks and a underglaze blue four character Daoguang mark and of the period ( 1821 – 1850 ). Diameter : 7,7 cm. H : 1,8 cm. Condition : Perfect.

This tall and impressive pottery "stick" figure was made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8), more specifically, the 2nd century BC. It is "heavily-potted" and made from a dense fine-grained pale grey pottery. It has been "cold painted" with a pink/brown flesh-coloured pigment...

An extremely fine and beautiful Worcester mug or tankard of Scratch Cross type. The tankard, which has a grooved strap handle, flares, or spreads, toward the bottom, a shape which evolved from the silver form popular at the beginning of the 18th century.

Painted in a variety of colors with a standing Long Eliza figure, another figure seated at a table to her left, and a third figure and garden seat to her right. A tall gilded stand is behind the table...

19th century Japanese bronze tea ceremony hibashi (long metal chopsticks for handling charcoal in hibachi brazier) with finials in a form of heads of the Fungus of Immortality. These hibashi are for use in the summer time (winter ones have top half covered in wood). Finely made of bronze, beautiful casting and chiseling of the fungus, embossed areas at the working end for better handling of charcoals...

An antique Japanese Tohoku Tansu made of beautiful Keyaki Burl root (Zelkova) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. Original finish and hand made iron fittings including stylized Kakute handles. The top and sides used a traditional wiped lacquer technique. Raised tea leaf style corners on the drawers which is a traditional design for this region of tansu...

Two matching Japanese chargers, done with the Imari pallet, and dating to the mid 19th Century. Decorations include a foo dog, dragons, and cranes among flowers and scrolls. Each dish measures about 12" in diameter and 1 3/4" high and is marked on the back. The condition is excellent/perfect with minor wear. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.

Antique, 19th century, Tibetan, silver mounted gun powder flask composed of flattened horn with beveled edges and long solid silver nozzle. The top fitted with a solid silver collar with horn cap adorned with silver flower and suspension loop. CONDITION: In very good condition, showing the age and usage. MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 22 cm (8 5/8 in).

I have seen weapons such as this one described as everything from ancient Roman, Celtic and Chinese to medieval and on and on. Though I have been unable to find much in the way of references, I am fairly certain that this spear and others like it are ceremonial polearms from the Qing Dynasty. They are most likely 18th or 19th century. They have crudely decorated brass collars between the socket and blade. This one and the three others I have listed are in good condition with no signs of repair...

A very attractive large Udjat eye amulet, Egyptian, and probably Late period, mid 1st. millenium BC.

The amulet is vcarved in a hard Diorite stone, very beautiful in hand.

Size: 26-27 mm. wide and very thick.

Condition: Choice and as made, the drill went wrong, visible at the back so the artist drilled another hole just beside the first one.
