A matched pair of Chinese paintings of exotic fruits. Body colour on pith surface. Mounted with gold speckled Chinese papers and framed beneath rigid plastic sheet. E ach 39x26 cm. hanging ring on reverse, ready to hang. Excellent colour, a few chips to corners and edges of sheet. Undated, estimated to be mid 19th century. A Very Fine/Rare/Large Korean Buddhist Painting (Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva)- 19th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 18th to early 19th century, Amit’a, the Buddha of the Western Pure land, and Attendants. Painted in polychrome mineral pigments on silk. It’s in fine condition with colors but has some creases associated age. it measures 53 ½” h. x 52” w. (136 cm h. x 132 cm w.). ****** This painting has been mounted in paper and wood frame on back (was removed from a outer wood frame).

This very well made 19th C. Chinese silver inlaid bronze incense burner is 2 7/8” high, 4 ½” wide (with handles is 7” wide). Its two handles are formed in the shape of beast heads. Two silver inlaid “Qi Lin” rising from ocean and surrounded by fire and clouds appear on either side of the piece. It has an unusual dragon mark on the bottom. It is in excellent condition.

English King sterling silver wine bottle coaster. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Round well with chased wavy borders. Applied bead-and-reel rim interspersed with scallop shells. Interlaced script monogram engraved in well. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 11161 and director’s letter C (1902-7). Very good condition.

The Shabti with the epithets for Osiris Neb-Neheh, in this instance the first appears to be the name of the deceased. He wears a distinct long lappet wig and more unusually at the back the basket lies diagonally below the yoke with two water pots.

A wonderful large Japanese wood carved statue of an anthropomorphic tanuki. He holds a large mokugyo or temple bell with carved dragons in one hand and a lacquered drumstick in the other. Beautifully preserved, hand-carved antique piece.
