Rare stucco Bodhisattva, mounted, Shan State, Burma, 18th Century, condition: shows age (see enlargements), but still attractive, size: H. 24cm x W. 15cm x D. 13cm

A pair Japanese porcelain plates decorated with a mountain hermitage and some roundels one containing a rabbit in the Ko-Kutani palette. Base with "fuku" mark, the rim with brown dressing and the underside with pine needles. Condition: fine, base with partial brownish stains and dull glaze. Dimension: diameter: 18.8 cm x 3 cm high.

These 6 porcelain demitasse cups and saucer were produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory in 1918. The saucers have a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cups are 1 5/8 inches high. The clean lines of the cup and saucer accentuate the fine quality porcelain. Each one is individually hand painted with vividly colored flowers. There is gold trim on the rims and handles. You would be proud to own and use such an elegant set. Condition: Excellent

Fine Large Chinese Han Dynasty Glazed Granary

This large and impressive pottery vessel was made some 2,000 years ago during the latter part of the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8), the short-lived Xin Dynasty (AD 9 - 25) or the early Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 25 - 220). It is very similar to other large amber-glazed granaries excavated from a tomb in Xi'an dated to the Xin Dynasty (AD 9 - 25)...

A finely executed painting in gouache and ink, with few raised details in white, on embossed paper by the British manufacturer Henry Dobbs. Showing a Manchurian lady, playing a small drum. Reliquary in the shape of a pagoda, used to house the Hokyoin Sutra. This type of reliquary originates from China and developed in Japan in the Kamakura era. The Hokyoin Darani sutra contains invocations that make it easier for the soul of the deceased to find its way out of Hell directly into Paradise. These pagodas are usually made of stone, so they can be buried with the deceased. The sutra is recited daily in esoteric Buddhist sects, and is venerated as a relic of the Buddha Shakyamuni...

Rare Chinese Northern Wei Dynasty Pack Horse (AD 386 - 534)

This rare and interesting pottery model of a pack horse, or pony, was made during the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 386 - 534). It is made from a buff-coloured pottery that has been "cold painted" with a base coat of white pigment on top of which has been applied black pigment. Note the detail of the pack on its back that includes two water containers and a rabbit.

A finely decorated octagonal jar with lid, made for carrying fat for musket bullits, late 17th. cent.

A rare box fully inscribed with fine caligraphy from the Coran and still with remnants of the original 300-400 years old content inside. The box has a lid and the hinges and lock are in intact workable condition. Silver is testing more than .800, though there's no silver marks.
