A rare and beautiful Hongzhi Style Imperial Yellow Dragon Bowl measuring 6” x 3” depicting a stylized dragon motif in a Lotus shape
A large flat bottom blue and white porcelain washer from Qing Dynasty. Over all good condition with a very tiny chip at the inside edge of the rim, and a few minor kiln flaws on the glaze. Diameter: 9-5/8"; height: 3". Provenance: from the Collection of C. Philip Cardeiro .
A spectacular Meiji Period Satsuma vase by Kinzan I. In 2001, the Kinzan kiln was designated a National treasure by the Japanese government. The Kinzan kiln pioneered and developed unique gilding techniques, such as underglaze gold leaf. This rare vase is a wonderful example of Kinzan's mastery. This late 19th century Chinese blue and white vase is 9 ¼ inches high and 4 ½ inches on the widest part. It depicts a mother lion playing with her cub. Aside from two small chips on the rim, it is in great condition.
