Pearlware dinner plate in the Curbing palms pattern, by Job Ridgway, transfer printed in blue, unmarked. Job Ridgway’s manufacture worked for only a short period, 1802 – 1813. A variation of the Willow border and an additional Nankin border surround an Oriental landscape with curbing palm trees and exotic pagodas. Diameter "9 ¾ / 24.7 cm. Condition: fine.

A bowl and a dish, slop bowl and stand, part of a tea service. Soft porcelain, made in Staffordshire around 1840. Pink luster geometric border pattern with flowers in reserves and enamelling in green, with some red and gilt. Diameter of bowl "6/ 15.3 cm, height "3/ 7.5 cm, diameter of dish "7 ½ / 19.5 cm. Condition: a hairline to the bowl and an old restoration to the border of the dish (cf. pics).

Circa 1850 small underglaze blue Chinese jar (see 2nd photo for size) with original lid. Photos do not do this jar justice. We guarantee you will not be disappointed. In excellent condition, this little treasure measures 2.75" high including finial and 2.5" diameter.

Interesting stone bead with three bands of drilled concentric circles, some of them linked with lines. Remains of red pigment in the cavities.
The Ghaznavid dynasty originated from Turkic slave-guards and lasted from 977 to 1186 AD. At their greatest extent the Ghaznavids controlled large parts of Iran, Afghanistan, much of Transoxiana and the northwest of the Indian subcontinent.

Tea bowl, enameled in Famille rose colours with flowers and a cricket, the inside with an auspicious peach and a key fret border in overglaze red. Tongzhi or Guangxu period, late 19th century, Height "1 ¾/ 4.8 cm, diameter "2 ¾/ 7 cm. Condition: some roughness to the rim.

A small ribbed tea or wine bowl, enameled in Famille rose colours with an auspicious cricket among flowers. Four character seal mark for Tongzhi to the base. Height "2 ½ / 3.5 and diameter "2 ½/ 6.3 cm. Condition: fine.

A pair of plates beautifully enameled, the well with a flower basket within an iron-red border and surrounded by various fruit and flowers, all in the early Famille Rose palette and gilt,including a pale pink.The back with Lingzhi fungus in iron-red. Chinese Export porcelain, Yongzheng period, c 1730. Diameter "9/ 23 cm. Condition: old bracket repairs and hairlines (cf. pics).

Two green glazed Shekwan / Shiwan jars, probably late 19th century. Both with molded decoration of flower sprigs and a ruyi border. Jars like these were placed on either side of a grave as offerings, one containing rice and the other water. Height "3 ½ / 9 cm, diameter "4 and 4 ½ / 10 and 11 cm respectively. Condition: fine. A very small porcelain vessel, for one single dosis of a medicine. China, Qianlong, 18th century. The name of the medicine is written in under glaze blue to one side, to the other the name of the disease it was intended to cure. Height "1 ¼ / 3.3 cm. Condition: fine.

A Chinese seal, reddish-brown soapstone, all around with engraved little landscapes and a coiling snake on top. Chinese probably auspicious characters to one side. The name of the owner, Bettina, is carved both in Chinese and Latin lettering. Height "3 1/3/ 8.5 cm. Condition: fine.

This is a gorgeous Japanese Satsuma bowl from a rare artist. It is signed Kinzan. This bowl is in excellent condition. It measures 4 1/2 inches across and is 1 5/8 inches tall.

Early 1800's underglaze cobalt blue decorated Chinese tea bowl stands. The center of the dish is open with a raised collar and the opening designed to accommodate a footed tea bowl. The underside is decorated with concentric rings and three stylized bats. The side of the foot ring is decorated with auspicious symbols. In very good condition showing very little sign of wear. They measure 4 inches diameter, interior diameter 2 1/8" and 1 1/8" high.

A charming Japanese Arita porcelain shallow bowl of circular form with raised, lobed rim, decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze gilding. The dish features at the top The Three Friends (pine, prunus and bamboo), the center with a medallion depicting a cormorant, and the bottom a sea turtle over a string of coins (a symbol for wisdom, luck, protection, longevity, and in this case prosperity)...

Small wide mouth grey pottery jar with “soy” brown glaze from an unknown Southern Kiln. The glaze resembles Jizhou ware. Circa Song Dynasty or earlier, the body is quite thinly potted with delicate lugs near the mouth. There is fritting on the mouth and handle but no cracks or chips. H: 9cm/3.5in and D: 6cm/2.3in.
