It has flea bite chips and inclusions at the jade, and tarnished at the metal ring and clip (as seen in the photos).

A rare tabako-ire in the shape of bear claws and netsuke with eagle claw that holds a glass sphere held by a rope, with turquoise ojime.
This tabako-ire belonged to an Ainu in the northern of Japan on the island of Hokkaido where the native people, the Ainu, lived.
In this extraordinary find there are the symbols of the two animals most revered by this people, the bear that lives free in the tribes and the eagle that was hunted for its feathers.

porcelain kuan-yin enameled in iron red and copper green. Green enamel has an unusual iridescent metallic appearance that seems to be peculiar to an era or a production site. The statuette is made in a mold in 2 parts, the joint is visible below. The unglazed parts, at least the base, were covered with lacquer and gold which have disappeared leaving only traces (look photo).

Antique Chinese pair of large joss stick incense holders. Made of porcelain in bell form. Decorated with painted designs of dragons, lingzhi and scrolling vines in red-orange overglaze standing out against a dramatic black ground. Each joss holder has four large dragon medallions, two on the top portion and two on the bottom. Around them is painted a variety of scrolling foliage. The interior rim of the upper portion is painted with a pattern of lingzhi mushrooms.

Nice old storage basket from the Lahu ethic group, Northern Thailand. This has a tough double layered weave with the outer wall made from rattan and the inner wall of bamboo strips. Lahu baskets are held in high regard by the other tribes in the area and were sold or traded to them. This is a genuine old tribal piece and not a tourist piece made for the home décor market. Acquired in 1990, and has been in storage since them a reasonable estimate on age would be 40 to 50 years old...
