A very attractice pottery bowl with the typical corset / convex shape, Ica / Chincha bowl, pre-columbian, 1000-1476 AD.
Probably made locally under Inca overlordship. The ornamentation of this Ica-Chincha vessel is geometric, and it brings to mind a woven textile pattern and surface.

Condition: Good Very fine, intact with a few minor glaze chips to the rim.
Oval vessel with bow handle between spout and perforated animal head, Vicús, ca. 100 - 500 AD.
Fine condition vessel from the rather illusive Vicus culture contemporary with the more well-known Moche culture. The vessel misses a very small pseudy lug handle at one side, othervise completely intact and unrepaired with some light weathering at edge of the spout.

DESCRIPTION: A Chinese export filigree bar pin fashioned from three hardstone discs, two of jade and one carnelian, mounted in delicate, decorative openwork made from thin twisted wire. Most likely dating to the Victorian era (1837 – 1901) when such pins were fashionably worn at the neck fastening two collars, the pin is in very good condition with no chips to the stones and slight wear to the wirework. DIMENSIONS: 3 ¾” long (9.5 cm) x 1 3/8” wide (3.5 cm).

A Chinese white porcelain snuff bottle, probably Dehua, known in the West as ‘Blanc de Chine’. The moulded body, each side decorated with a central roundel of flowers surrounded with a pair of bats and a Shou character. The stopper, missing its spoon, appears to be faded purple stained soapstone. The thin body is very translucent and inside there are traces of former contents.

Clearly made by an adoring grandmother, this antique Dong Minority hat is covered with a variety of ornate embroidery stitches including both wrapped thread and couching techniques.
