This porcelain bowl, molded in chrysanthemum form, is decorated in underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze enamels in red, green and gold. The center of the interior is painted with a 16-petaled flower in underglaze blue, and the well is painted with various plant and landscape scenes. The exterior is surrounded with an underglaze blue floral pattern, and the base is painted with a Chinese “Chenghua” mark, as is often seen on 18th and early 19th Century Imari dishes...

A lovely, small, rare, middle Ming dish ( fifteenth century ) decorated in underglaze blue with a bird. The representation of the bird very attractive and swinging. The extraordinary strong resp. deep Cobalt blue of this dish is very nice. Diameter : 9,7 cm. Condition : No chip, no crack, the glaze of this excavated piece slightly degraded by aggressive soil.

Pair of Japanese antique abumi (horse riding stirrups), made of iron with silver inlay all over in beautiful designs of vines and leaves, the bottom of each stirrup is decorated with a bamboo motif, the foot areas are lacquered black, each abumi is inlaid with writing: Kaga Ishikawa Prefecture, Mori Hei Saku (artist's name and "signed by") lived in Komaki. Edo Period (18th century). Size of each: 9 1/2" high x 11 1/2" long x 5" wide.

Beautiful contemporary Japanese todana tansu (shelf chest) with two sections, made from a very light keyaki wood with a nice smooth finish and attractive grain. It has two large sliding doors with open wood panes and interior shelving, two smaller sliding doors below with horizontal slats, and two sliding drawers with hirute shaped handles. A Very Fine Pale Celadon White Jade Circular Water Coupe: 19th –early 20th C.: China, 19th or early 20th century. The container carved with high walls and supported by lotus leaf ahapeed foot, with opposing handles in the shape of the Hehe Twins, they holding a lotus bud shapped coupe with an other lotus stem and a bud against the inverted rim of the coup on a large lotus leaf as stand with insised details of lotus leaf and bud, and its textures are very translucent with a gray green ...

An Hirado incense burner of squat globular form with three scroll feet and lion mask handles with a high domed reticulated cover surmounted by a Shishi and ball filial. The body of the koro decorated in underglaze blue with a Chinese “ko sometsuke” style landscape. The censer is in good condition without chips, restoration, but there are some firing flaws notably to the juncture of the legs and to the body of the koro, and a minor firing crack to the rim...

Beautiful, yet unusual two-section tansu from the Nigata region of Japan, made from kiri wood. Reddish brown lacquer has been applied to its hardware to give it a very nice contrast to the woodgrain. It has four large drawers with gunbai style iron handles mounted upon pierced and stylized mounts, with a large fan-shaped lockplate in its center, pierced hardware along the front frame between each drawer, and quarter-circle hardware in the drawer corners...

A Song dynasty longquan celadon large ribbed jar with cover, rounded side with globular body and glazed base, jar and cover decorated with ribbed motid, covered with good celadon glaze, good condition no damage no chip no crack no restoration, size: 11 cm height 14 cm diameter.

Antique Chinese bronze hanging bell with beautiful casting and patina. It hangs by a hook shaped as a two-headed serpent, and its sides are decorated with phoenixes (fenghuang in Chinese, ho-o in Japanese) flying with their head downwards and their long, beautiful tail feathers floating up and over their bodies. The phoenix is a bird of the Sun, so a small Sun adorns two sides of the bell, along with curling motif running along the bottom. Size: 6.5" height, 4.75" width

This male figure, molded in the manner of the English Staffordshire tradition, carries a swooning lady on his shoulders, with a snake hanging from his neck. Facial features and clothing details are painted in colorful overglaze enamels. On the base is a factory mark in an oval cartouche. There is some wear, soiling, and minor glazing flaws, but no repairs or damages.

A Qing dynasty 18th century blue glaze square vase, tall body with short neck and glazed base, vase is in good condition no damage no restoration, size: 27 cm including wooden stand.

Good Famille Rose Punch Bowl. Very well decorated with floral bouquets and insects below a finely painted butterflies and diaper border. Qianlong C1770/80. Diameter 28.7cm (11 1/4") Condition; excellent.

Rare Chinese Famille Rose Teapot finely decorated with figures in a landscape on a scrolling gilt ground. Unusually both the handle and spout are painted with a delicate floral spray. Qianlong C1750/60. Height 13.7cm. Condition; 1.2cm section to rim filled and restored, frit to knop. Some wear to gilding. Otherwise excellent.

Take a look at this pair of magnificent Chinese antique wood carved Foo Dog (lion) statues. They are made of camphor wood and show very detailed hand carving works.

According to historical books, lions were introduced into Mainland China firstly as tributes to the Emperors. They are symbols of justice in bureaucratic officialdom and loyal guards in front of Emperors or Princes' palaces. They also are the Guardians of Fa (law) in Buddhist realm and stay in front of the temples...

Up for sale is a large antique Chinese Qing dynasty red dragon silk robe woven with nine 5-claw dragons; clouds, buddhist auspicious symbols, bats, seawaves, and standing water ( Lishui), and sleeve bands embroidered with dragons and phoenixes; backed with light green silk lining. Overall, the robe is in very good condition, clean, a few tiny holes in the front, wear to high collar on the back...

Up for auction sale is an 19th century Han Chinese woman's surcoat, black silk ground with intricate embroideries on collar, sleeve bands and trims; 5 gilt ball-and-loop toggle buttons. The robe is overall in very good condition, clean, very light stains in sleeves and minor tear in the right armpit. Measurements : Top collar to bottom hem 38.5", Sleeve to sleeve 57" stretch, sleeve width 20.5", width between arm pits 30" narrowest, width of hem 38" widest.

This large Japanese late Meiji (1867~1911) ivory carving is 14 ¼” high, 4” wide and 2 ¾” in depth. It depicts a smiling sage carrying a fan in his left hand and holding a long staff in his right hand. A rolled up scroll is tied to the top of the staff. Aside from a few hair line cracks due to age and size, it is in good condition. More detailed photos are available.

Originally used as a traditional folding fan, its creases are clearly visible as is also the wear and paper losses, particularly along the edges. The painting was removed from its bamboo supports many years ago and mounted on a scroll or screen. The mounting can be seen on the back and is also visible as a thin border along the front edges, and remnants of a mulberry paper backing are lightly attached to the back on top of the old scroll mounting paper...

A large, thinly potted vase with 4 lugs, and incised decoration. Glazed with a creamy white glaze with a fine crazing. Southern Song Dynasty ( 1127 - 1279 ). H : 19,6 cm. Diameter : 14,2 cm. Condition : Perfect. It is rare to find a large Song Dynasty vase like this, which is in an absolute perfect condition. No repair. Even the 4 lugs are in perfect condition. Excavated in Sulawesi, Indonesia. The piece is still uncleaned.
