Very large Chinese folk art bamboo basket with a removable inner shelf. The "double happiness" symbols on the side indicate it might have been intended as a wedding basket. A pair of Japanese lacquered iron abumi (stirrups) decorated with gold lacquer on a roiro ground. It has butterfly family crests (mon) in the center of a scrolling leaf and flower border, the interior in red lacquer.

This is indigo dye cotton tsutsugaki textile futon cover at the edo-Meiji era. Very auspicious, brave hawk and pine tree design. The material is thick indigo-dyed cotton. The technique of indigo dyeing Tsutsugaki is very good and beautiful. It is unused and has no stains or damage. The state is excellent. It is a very valuable gem. Please add it to the collection. This is a pottery vessel originating in the Han Dynasty of ancient China (206 BCE to 220 CE). Vessels such as these were often used as wine containers. This piece his beautifully sculpted and has great colors. There is a repair two the foot of the jar. There are also small chips and abrasions throughout and possible areas of professional restoration. It measures 29 cm in heights and 32 cm in width.

Very unusual and large 19th century Japanese lacquer ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) of ball shape with 2 flattened sides. The ojime is carved out of a block of lacquer material formed of different color layers as the leftover liquid lacquer was discarded by a lacquer artist, and then solidified. Very clever use of material, very rich play of colors, in excellent condition, beautiful patina. Height 1 inch.

Antique Chinese hanging scroll with calligraphy signed Tie Bao. 19th century. The poem alludes to the benefits of meditation during the night improving one's perception of the arts. TiE Bao (1752 - 1824) It measures overall 12.5" x 78.25", 8" x 50".

Antique middle eastern rug made of wool with design of mounted warriors, warriors and other animals. Blue and red colors on a light background, first half of 20th century. It measures 81" by 46".

Chinese Eastern Zhou Cord-Impressed Pottery Jar (770 - 221 BC)

This fine pottery jar was made during the Eastern Zhou period (770 - 221 BC). It is made from a relatively highly-fired fine grey pottery. It has a round base that has been decorated with cord impressions that are particularly crisp. On opposing sides of the shoulder are small square-cut handles. The neck is slightly ridged for additional decoration and it has a flared mouth.

This is a very interesting Olmec jade maskette. It dates to 1200BC-600BC. It is 1 3/4" square. It is nicely scooped in the back. It has not been cleaned or polished. It is heavily encrusted with clay type material that will not come off with a pin prick. It does have splitting in several areas. However, the piece is solid and the cracks do not go all the way through. It is not translucent, but it is a very nice quality piece of jade...

Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Buddhist Pottery Zodiac Jar

This interesting pottery jar was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), or possibly the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) and has been been excavated from a Buddhist site in Yunnan province. It is made from a relatively highly-fired grey pottery. The reddish-brown surface colour is from the iron-rich burial soil.

Very rare and heavy antique Sino-Thai solid silver mesh belt with magnificent repousse dragon and flower motif on the buckle. It is extremely difficult to find a Khmer Tazza and still much more difficult to find a Khmer Tazza in a fine condition like this. Stoneware covered by a very nice iron brown glaze which shows due to its high age an rainbow effect. Khmer, Cambodia, 12th century but excavated in Indonesia. H : 13,4 cm. Diameter : 24,2 cm.
