This is an amazing bronze dagger from the ancient middle East - probably Northern Iran. It has a very heavy, wide blade with a prominent midrib. The tang is a typical, square, rat-tail style. The patina is a mix of light green and brown typical to pieces from that region. The piece is solid and stable and is in excellent condition overall. The traditional floral embroidery is mainly uses satin stitch technique with the large flower in the center of the front and rear panels use Peking knots. Very nice Imperial yellow hand carved Chinese wine cup. The bowl is accented with carving details in the stems and lotus areas for added appeal. The shape of the bowls reflects those porcelain counterparts that were popular around the late Qing and early republic periods.
