Chinese Ming Dynasty Glazed Pottery Chest (16th Century)
A pottery model of a hinged chest made during the 16th century (c.1550 - 1600). Made from a hard creamy-white pottery and coated in green and golden-yellow glazes that have, in places, acquired a silvery iridescence, a result of very long exposure to moisture.
Length 14 cm, height 11 cm. "Calcified" burial deposits in places and a couple of small chips at the corners. No sign of restoration or repair...

Splendid Lanna Thai Wooden Buddha with original gilding seated on an elaborately decorated throne. Very serene/calm expression. The Buddha is seated in the Vajrasana position with the right hand in the gesture of touching the Earth (bhumisparsa mudra) and the left hand rests in the gesture of meditation (dhyana mudra).

19th century mixed material netsuke in kagamibuta (mirror lid) form. The top is bronze with medium relief fierce dragon twisted around the Precious Gem. Wonderful quality metalwork - see its face, claws and crisply incised differentiated scales. Warm patina, beautiful fat bowl, swinging metal loop at the back for the cord. Diameter 2 1/16 inches.
Pair Japanese Nabeshima Porcelain Dishes with underglaze Blue Thistle with Red flowers, Ca. 1890, Meiji period, 4 5/8" diameter, 1 1/4" high, very thin crispy porcelain dishes with delicately decorated with Thistle plants, with fine exact comb high feet and double Peony floral sprays on 2 sides under the dish. One(1) dish is glued together lower area about 2 1/2" long on the wind swept Thistle decorated area. The other dish is in fine condition without any damages.

The charger has very good detail Senbiki (line drawings works) of blue underglaze works in flower design. The charger has marking on the bottom. The condition of charger is Excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairlines. There are aged tiny spots around the edge of plate which are original Mushikui spot which are looks like Mushi Kui translated as Insect bites...
