She is dancing on top of corpses to show her rule over ignorance and ego. Her lotus pedestal is made of gilt copper.

A rear authentic Chinese Tang Tomb Guardian with beautiful sancai glaze. Chinese believed that there were evil creatures underground and had these type of guardians to protect the tombs. Size: 74cm X 28cm. Condition: In its original state. Some minor repairs but not totally reconstructed.

Rare antique Tibetan painted chest with a trapezoid form, with lift away lid, and leather straps. The front of the chest is hand-painted in pigments of red, green, yellow, depicting a mythical creature with conch shell and flowers.

Each vase is decorated overall with various flowers on a medium-blue enamel ground within a continuous geometric fretwork pattern of gilt wires. Both the rim and base is gilded, now having some wear showing on each vase. The square area on the base is left from an old sticker removed in the past. Both vases have a melon form label body with a flaring mouth rim that is partially gilded inside...

Antique Japanese okimono carving of a little skeleton on top of a larger skull. Made of boxwood with a beautiful patina. Intricately carved to show every bone of the small skeleton and the teeth of the skull. The artist's humor is displayed in both style and subject matter.

A large beautiful and rare pair of colorfully glazed peacocks which were Vietnamese temple birds. The glaze is still vibrant and the sculpturing is very finely executed. Age: Mid 19th century. This is an authentic nephrite jade dragon pendant measuring 3-1/2" in length and 2-3/8" in width. The stone is somewhat more olive in tone than is shown in the photographs. The sinuous dragon is situated on a bi disc which is beautifully carved on the underside, as shown in the photographs. PLEASE NOTE: if you collect in this area, you are undoubtedly aware that the market is flooded with later copies and fakes, often labeled "archaistic" and selling for relatively low prices...

Traces of gold gilt essentiate his bearded continence, his gilt hands hold a "hu" in front of his chest, his hemmed robe is incised with cloud patterns.
