He studied art under Yamada Kei while working as a teacher at Ishikawa Technical Senior High School. A Very Fine/Large/Heavy hard Wood Carved Korean Wedding Duck-19th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century. A good and large/heavy hard wood hand carved wedding duck, to set up with two parts, a head and body, traditionally used in wedding ceremonies, with old patina overall, its bottom square carved for holding. It’s in very good condition with old dark-brown patina due to its age,it measures 18.5cm high. and 32cm length, weight: 2.74 lbs.

Small cast bronze incense burner in the shape of a duck. The bird is lying on its folded legs and gracefully twists its neck to groom its plumage. There has never been a lid because the opening on its back is clean without grooves and without any trace of friction or wear. The carving is of good quality, the eyes and nostrils are particularly well executed. Chinese work from the 18th century or much earlier. Chinese Qing to Republic period porcelain lion dog seated with an open mouth revealing ferocious teeth and a well-formed protruding tongue, covered overall with a golden amber glaze. 8 1/2" high x about 8" long. Early 20th century. An old price tag is adhered to the unglazed base. Very good overall condition with possibly a tiny loss or production flaw to the side of one tooth. Incense burner in copper alloy (cast bronze and embossed and cut brass). Oriental work from the 19th century or before. Probably Ottoman but maybe Syrian? The hinge was consolidated by a riveted piece of metal and one of the three feet was replaced as one of the photos shows? The three legs are fixed to the base by a system of finely executed 'butterfly' nuts. The assembly is slightly twisted as can be seen in the photos. Height: 25cm Diameter: 20cm
