Antique Chinese soapstone carving of a seated arhat. Likely Pindola Bharadvaja sometimes called Ajita. Binduluoshe Zunzhe, the Long Eyebrow Arhat, Changme Luohan. This Pindola is the leader of the 18 Arhats and his long eyebrows represent longevity, seniority and leadership. In this representation he is also holding a small pagoda which is similar to another arhat but the long eyebrows identify him. A fine carved boxwood figure depicting Avalokitesvara, Guanyin Pusa in Chinese, the Bodhisattva of Compassion reclining on an armrest, holding a scripture roll in one hand. Well carved from a single piece of boxwood, good details and fine patina. H 20 x L 13 x W 9 cm ca. Condition: minor repairs/filled and minor losses as well as a few thin drying cracks. A stunning massive bronze golden Hamsa opium weight of a fine early style, c. 1760-1780 AD.

Weight: 311 = 20 Tical and corresponds to a weight-standard of 15,55 grams, which place it in the mid 18th. century.

The golden Hamsa with lovely details and standing on an large octagonal base stamped with the 9-rayed star.

Condition: Choice Very Fine! Lovely brown patina, some overall wear as always with earlier Golden Hamsas.

An antique gunpowder flask called Barutdan was crafted in the 18th century in the Islamic Indo-Persian region. The flask is made of high-quality tooled tanned leather and adorned with intricate designs characteristic of the region's artistic flair.

The flask features an iron suspension loop and a leather strap. These allow it to be easily carried and used while hunting or engaging in battle.
