This set of 12 porcelain luncheon plates was produced in England by Cauldon in the late 19th century. They were made especially for Tiffany in New York. The plates measure 8 3/4 inches in diameter and 3/4 of an inch deep. The rim of the plate is thicker and raised in order to accentuate the decoration. The Centers of the plates are slightly indented. There are cobalt blue oval indentations outlined with beaded gold alternating with tiny hand painted roses and forget-me-nots on the rims...

Description:

A silver washer was nicely in floral shape and was decorated on the side with motifs of bamboo troves.
The beautiful pattern was well rendered by excellant chiselling and engraving workmanship.
Nice and darken patina was yielded when some old restorations were found in portions.

Date: Qing Dynasty, 19th century.

The small jade carving is 2” long, 1 ¼” wide and 1” thick. It is a late 19th century product. It depicts a smiling fisherman. On one hand, he is holding his long beard; in the other he is holding a string of Ling Zhi (lucky mushrooms). A turtle and a fish appear on the fisherman’s back carved from dark brown part of the stone. It is in excellent condition.

This very nicely carved 19th century lacquered wood netsuke in a clam form is 1 1/8” high, 1 ¾” from the widest part and 1 ½” in depth. It depicts two elders playing “go” in a building and the third person standing on a bridge outside the house. A tall pine tree is along side of the building. There are two hermit crabs and some sea weed painted on the top of shell. Aside from a few tiny scratches, it is in great condition.

This leaf shape Chinese late 19th century export Canton blue and white dish is 7 ½” long, 5 ½” at its widest part and 1 ¼” high. It depicts buildings, trees and rock along with a lake (or river). This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Copeland between 1851 and 1885. The saucer is 4 3/4 inches square and the cup is 2 1/2 inches high. The set has molded decorations in the porcelain. It is made of fine, white bone china. The decoration is inspired by the Japanese Imari pattern. The colors, rust red, cobalt blue, peach and gold are vibrant. Intricate gilded designs accent both pieces. There is gold trim on the rims and handle. Condition: Excellent
