An early Thai, Sukhothai period Celadon-glazed stoneware figure of a mother, shown chewing an ancient form of Narcotic drug known as Miang.

The figure dates to approximately 1400 A.D. and was produced in Thailand's Ancient Si Satchanalai Kilns. The depiction is one of a woman, shown seated with her left leg internally rotated and her right leg to the side. She has large protruding breasts and clutches a stylized child close to her body...

A pair of oval dishes with godrooned borders, soft paste / pâte tendre, creamy white with decoration of flowers in underglaze blue. Made c 1780 in Tournai, then France and now Belgium. Ronda was the most popular Tournai pattern, produced all through the 19th century till 1891 when the manufactory closed down. Width "10 ½ / 26.5 cm. Condition: firing crack and two little nicks to underside of rim of one dish (cf. pics).

A superb Japanese antique satsuma vase with eggshell white crackle underglaze, incredibly detailed artwork of a pheasant perched upon a gnarling branch with berries, wonderful intricate gilt banner design along the top, narrow neck with gilt rim, gilt ring along the foot, signature on bottom - Ryozan of the Yasuda Company.

An exceptionally fine Egyptian Bifacial seal or seal plaque, for Amenhoteb III, 18th Dynasty, 1390 BC-1352 BC.

The seal finely engraved with hieroglyphs. On one with the standing depiction of Ptah, the other with a bird and the carthouche of Amenhoteb.

Size: c. 17 mm. long.

Condition: Choice Extremely fine, very sharp miniature engraving and almost complete blue glazing...

Japanese candy apple red under-kimono with a simple, yet beautiful shibori style design of flowers. Shibori is a method of fabric dying in which bits of cloth are tied, sewn, folded, twisted, etc. to create patterns, similar to the Western method of tie-dye. It is lined with red cotton and has a white cotton collar and sleeves. Taisho period (1912-1925) Size: 46.75" height, 45" width

Extr. Rare/Fine Royal Princess ’s Embroidered Flower Shoes: Korea, late Joseon dynasty This pair is an one of a kind of silk embroidered colorful multi-flower heads (so called (꽃신) and sprays design on the surfaces that is a very unusual and extremely rare shoes from the Joseon dynasty, the pair of shoes were considered the use for a Royal family’s princess at the Royal Palace. They’re in almost mint condition with a rarely use. It measures 22.5cm x 7cm (8.75” x2.25”).

Federal Mahogany swell front chest of drawers. Yellow pine and poplar secondary woods. Maryland, probably Baltimore, 1790 to 1810. This chest is similar in ways to an example in "Furniture in Maryland, 1740-1940", Weidman, 1984, item #77, page 123. On both, the top conforms to the bow front case, projecting a bit beyond the case. And both have nicely formed French feet, inlaid banding on the drawers and above the skirt, and inlaid chevrons centering the escutcheons...

A Very Rare/Fine Korean Silver Inlaid with Orchids Iron Box-18th C.: Korea, Joeson dynasty, 18th century. This is a small silver inlaid box, but is a very rare and unusual decoration with Orchids and other floral motifs on the sides, with 4 yellow brass supporters on the bottom. It’s in fine condition but lost some silver inlays, otherwise good condition, it measures 8.2cm x 5.3cm x4.7cm high.

Japanese 2 section kimono tansu. Made with Kiri (paulownia) wood, all natural finish. The upper section holds 8 drawers, which is considered an auspicious number. The bottom section contains 2 drawers with warabite pulls mounted on pierced metal plates. The piece also contains a secret hidden compartment beneath the bottom drawer.

Small statue of Buddha wearing a diadem, in a meditative posture ("dhyana mudra"), holding a stylized beggar bowl in his hands, sitting cross-legged on a double lotus throne. Bronze, with thick encrusted green patina. Tibet, 16th century. Height: 5 1/2" (14 cm). Diadem partly chipped, a few tiny casting defects, otherwise very good condition. A rather unusual aspect of the Buddha image.

This is very rare tasutasugaki noren at the end of shogunate of Edo period(1860-1868). Design of freehand paste resist dyeing with kyara (fragrant wood) oil shop. It began to sell kyara oil in the Edo style period and Kyoto. bintuke abura(oil put up to hair)¡ The sumo wrestling taking uses it in modern days. This handsome tsutsugaki doorway hanging freehnd paste resist dyeing with cros¡. It consists of the indigo dye of the hemp spun by the hand...

Bronze statue of Buddha, in monk's robes, wearing a kind of diadem, sitting on a throne, his hands in bhumisparsa mudra. Old glass inserts on the diadem, some missing. Burma, Mandalay period, 19th century. Height: 10 cm. Some abrasion, otherwise very good condition.

An antique Japanese Ikebana bamboo basket in a cylindrical form mimicking a Gourd. It was woven in a vertical stitch pattern juxtapose a visually lesser diagonal weave. The artist used the thin and medium bamboo strips to contrast and undulate texture and movement within the basket. The base forms a hexagonal circle with a six point star pattern at the bottom.
