19th century Japanese woven bamboo ikebana basket to be used as a wall vase for tea ceremony. Superb piece made in free Japanese (as opposed to Karamono - more formal Chinese) style, metal fixture on the back for hanging, bamboo insert. Beautifully woven small bamboo branches cut in half lengthwise - rather unusual technique. Excellent deep brown color due to smoking process. Nice rhythm to the weaving of the bottom, extraordinary warm patina with great feel of age...

Antique Japanese 2-section, 3ft. Mizuya. Constructed of Hinoki (cedar) and Sugi (cypress) hardwoods. Both the upper and lower section hold large storage compartments, one behind mesh sliding panels and two with Keyaki (elm) burl front panels. Its Keyaki front drawers open with hand forged iron pulls.

This is aya-Weave nishijin textile silk Bag of treasure in Edo period(1603-1867). It is very rare. There is rubbing in the part of the string. However, it is very good. Late Qing Dynasty (1900s) Chinese porcelain snuff saucer with underglaze blue painting of an open fan and enamel decoration of yellow bamboo rib and orange tassel. Chinese antique Jade sculpture of a scholar rock-like mountain with waves on the bottom and a bat flying over the rocks. The rock contains an inscription which generally reads "Along with similar joyous and pure things". Chinese hardwood altar table, made of solid elm wood with its original red lacquer finish. Carved with dramatic scrolling legs on elevated feet. Five panel carvings in front depict various scenes with auspicious elements, dragon carvings in archaic style, the underside with scalloped edges. The altar style edges curl upwards in a scrolling fashion, with reticulated carvings of dragons below either side.

German Neoclassical silver urn, 18th century. Oval tapering bowl on raised and stepped foot. Cover domed with vasiform finial. Chased imbricated leaf border at bowl bottom; same on cover dome. Visible hammering and handwork. Marked. Good condition.
