The color of underglaze is sort of darker blue. The condition of bowl is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline from outside forces...

An uncommon form (only one or two were part of a full service), made by Worcester in the Dr. Wall period. The design has a central rose surrounded by garlands of flowers in cartouches, all done in a soft European palette. Alternating with these cartouches are others that are pure white, making this decoration very unusual. The background of the dish is, of course, the desirable blue scale made so famous by Worcester.

A large elaborate and beautiful patch mark Derby porcelain figure group of "Music" from the Muses series. Some sources refer to a very similar group as "Poetry". However, this particular group is somewhat different and is a rare variant.

The group shows a woman, holding a lyre, standing in front of a reeded column on top of which is a book and a sheet of music. Atop the base is a standing putto holding a music pipe in one hand and some type of instrument in the other...

George II sterling silver mug. Made Thomas Tearle in London in 1735. Baluster bowl with leaf-capped double-scroll handle and spread raised foot. Later ornament in form of chased and engraved scrolls, flowers, and scallop shells on stippled ground. Scrolled frame (vacant). Fully marked. Very good condition with deep patina.

A mukuzuke or serving dish of raised barbed lotus form with a moulded ribbed cavetto decorated in underglaze blue with gilt outlined enamels dating to circa 1740-70. The unusual form of the dish follows Chinese “Ko Sometsuke” precedents of the first half of the 17th century; see “The Peony Pavillion” lot 220 for a Chinese example of the Chongzhen period, where this particular form is considered to have been especially made for the kaiseki meal accompanying the Tea ceremony. 18th century netsuke of an emaciated sennin seated on a base wearing a tattered robe and a leaf cape and holding a staff with a bundle of his possessions tied to its top, and with a dog affectionately leaning onto the man. The subject is Sennin Izenshun (Chinese Wei Shan-Chun), who took good care of a black dog that had come to his hermitage, and one day the dog turned into a dragon and took the sennin to heaven...

This porcelain coffee cup and saucer was produced in England by Worcester between 1755 and 1783. It is a First Period product under the ownership of Dr. Wall. It has the open crescent mark. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and it is 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/2 inches high with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches at the opening. The porcelain body of both pieces is fluted with scalloped edges. There are cobalt blue borders...

A Very fine George III Sterling Silver Soup Ladle, by Richard Crossley and assayed in London in 1791. Old English Pattern with Feather Edges. It is 13" long, with a bowl diameter of 3.5", and weighs 6.4 Troy ounces. Clear hallmarks and no monogram or other mark. Excellent condition.

A blue and white Chinese export porcelain pot de crème or syllabub cup, Qianlong c 1760-70, with diaper borders and flowers in under-glaze blue. Height including lid "3/ 7,5 cm. Condition: some crackling to the glaze.

English Georgian Neoclassical sterling silver basket, ca 1790. Ovoid body on same foot with reeded c-scroll swing handle. Engraved wavy-shaped frame (vacant) and ornamental borders. Linear and circular piercing and beading. Partially worn marks include London assay stamp. Very good condition.

This is a small Ming dynasty celadon or longquan vertically ribbed jarlet.

The dimension is as follows: The height is 7.4cm and thw width is 7.4cm.

It is in good condition.. A manufacturing crack (picture 6)at the base which show through the inside of the jarlet base as well. No damanage, restoration, repair or chip. Minor abrasion and manufacturing fault.

American Federal period mahogany lolling chair. Sparse, fine line inlay decoration. Late 18th century. Good condition. Seat height a little low from wear to legs. Seat height about 15 inches. Back height about 40 inches. Width roughly 24 inches.

SOLD A Worcester mug with flared sides decorated in transfer printed underglaze blue of sprigs of natural flowers. Although it is unmarked the transfer on one side is identical to the one shown on the side of a Worcester marked jug shown in plate 282 of Godden’s Caughley and Worcester Porcelains 1775-1800. The transfers are well printed. 3 ¾ inches (9.5 cm) tall and a little more in diameter across the handle.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Minor firing flaws...
