Antique Chinese, Yuan Dynasty (1279–1368 A.D.), Crackle – Glaze, Ge Type Ceramic Jar of a bulbous form with a raised short moulded mouth, the - exterior of the jar is covered with mat finish, pale celadon -greyish crackle glaze leaving the shoulders, mouth and the foot rim unglazed. Pair of matched naturally stressed wooden plaques with “couplet”, encouraging harmony and peace. Traditionally Chinese write to right to left so the meaning of the board on the right encourages one to “admit your mistakes to avoid trouble in the world” while the one on the left, encourages one to “be tolerant, to live in peace”. It has been suggested to me that these may be have been hung in an old Kung Fu studio as this would express the spirit of martial arts...
This pair of earthenware vases was produced in France by Paul Milet in the 1890s. They measure 8 3/8 inches high and the diameter of the opening is 2 ½ inches. The decoration is the epitome of Art Nouveau design. Anemones bend and sway while turquoise dragonflies hover overhead. Clover-like turquoise colored leaves encircle the bases of the two vases. The decoration is in relief simulating cloisonné. The colors are dazzling.

This porcelain trinket box was produced in Germany by Meissen around 1900. It has a diameter of 3 inches and is 1 ¾ inches high. It is made of the finest porcelain with a high gloss glaze. It is hand painted in Art Nouveau style with a bunch of pink roses and foliage. There is gold trim around the rims of both pieces.

The elegantly potted shallow dish, sharply tapering to a raised foot and with a raised rim, with the interior face bordered with a single line, the both out and insides covered overall in an even greyish white glaze with the base.

DESCRIPTION: A pair of substantial, deeply carved Chinese doors originating from Zhejiang province and dating from the early 1800’s, Qing dynasty. These handsome, heavy solid elm doors still have all of their original pegs attached, which would have been set into round sockets at the top and bottom, allowing the doors to be opened and closed.
The top panels are carved with flowers and a repeating swastika pattern, the Chinese character meaning good fortune or longevity...

Meissen underglaze Blue Cross Sword mark plus red numbers and impressed letters and numbers marked on the bottom. The condition is good.
