Beautiful Chinese antique tray made of intricately carved red cinnabar with carved black lacquer overlay, the red lacquer is carved in a tiny patterned background while the black lacquer is carved as a scene of scholars in a garden setting with black mountains rising on the other side of a carved cinnabar lake, the edges are carved with flowers and bats, stands on four small feet, late 19th century. A beautiful famille rose dish with the emblems of the eight immortals or baxian. They represent poverty, wealth, aristocracy, plebianism, age, youth, masculinity and feminity. At 12 o'clock, the two emblems represent Li Tiequai (gourd)and Han Xiangzhi (flute). At three o'clock the emblems represent Lan Caihe (basket of flowers)and He Xiangu (lotus). At 6 o'clock, it represent Zhang Guolao (bamboo tube) and Cao Guojiu (castanets)...

An uncommon silver tastevin, the bottom inset with a Mexican silver coin featuring the likeness of King Ferdinand VII of Spain, the last Spanish emperor to rule over Mexico.
