A fine solid bronze figure of a Rooster / Cockerel, ca. 10th.-12th. century AD.
A beautiful figure, sculptured in the round in a naturalistic manor, very attractive and scarce.
The Rooster has finely engraved feathers on the body and tail. A hole at the top for the loose mohawk which is now missing.

Chinese export silver mug, ca 1860. Straight and upward tapering sides with applied pictorial frieze on engraved and stippled ground: Scenes of social life with contemplative sages and chaste maidens amongst palm trees and pagodas. Pastoral exoticism enlivened with scaly, slithering dragon handle, ferocious head peaking above the rim. Armorial cartouche (vacant). Marked “HCH”. Very good condition.

Japanese woodblock print quadriptych (four panels) by Osaka actor Yoshitaki (1841-1899) dating circa 1860's. Each panel features an actor standing against an embossed, checkered background. The black ink signature of the artist is in the lower section of each panel. Each chuban sized sheet measures 9 1/2"V x 6 7/8"H. Excellent color with extensive gauffrage and lacquered highlights. Japanese antique small Ko Tansu (personal chest) made all of kiri (paulownia) wood with black lacquered iron hardware. This small chest has 4 drawers and 1 small door with 2 hidden drawers. The hardware is all made of blackened iron and includes 4 round drawer pulls, 5 locks and 2 side handles.

This finely-carved, wooden netsuke depicts a basket of lotus florals. The himotoshi are carved in an interesting fashion on the underside. This piece is in excellent
condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.

This is a finely carved Japanese Netsuke depicting four Karakos, in their typical garb, forming a musical group and playing their instruments. Very charming piece. Unsigned.
Netsuke measures 1.48 inches (3.8cm) wide, and 1.06 inches (2.7cm) tall.
Small Victorian stick and ball wall shelf with a mirror on top and a hinged box on the bottom. This cute little shelf has brass tops and is grain painted. It dates fromthe early 1900s, and measures 23" tall x 12" wide x 5 1/2" deep.
A pair of absolutely stunning quality smaller silex axes, from the Singlegrave period-to early Daggertime, 2800-2000 BC.
Both are expertly polished and long slender types, likley for precision work in wood. One is greyish with nice fossil-remains in the silex surface and likely dating rather late perhaps even Daggertime, the other a scarce type and likely dating earlier, with a marvelous amber-orange patina.
